if ya want 100 good females you need 300 regular plants to start with - at least a third will get wacked or eating or runts that get pulled and half the rest will be males I always go for 3 times what the final total will be and I never get stung by loosing plants and not having replacements handy

biggest problem for me is rats mice early on then the dreaded black spot later in summer,a few basic thing spread around keeps most critters away

Isn't that the goal?not all will make it anyway, males, runts etc
Im just saying from experience that well if you have room for them , go for it .. I have got excited in the past and started cloning too early end up with way more than i could chew. Its better to grow a couple huge mothers and then 1month before outdoor you clone them, by this point you should be able to get hundreds of clones off a couple mothers..

Not a bad thing to have to many, something always happens in the bush.one major factor is I am growing out a bunch of strains to find certain ones to cross and on repeats find the best to make a lot of seeds so I don't have to for some time.then running mothers could be better option

no ive had r-2 for over 10 years now and grow it every season I got it from some friends in new Brunswick ca and have used it in several crosses over the years good mold resistant and finishes by mid to late sept always a producer here in coastal maine I was told it was a strain that was just passed around between old school growers and not available to buy in seed form

Ah yes another clone only strain. They are like unicorns where I live, you can never find them. Best luck I'll have is finding something crossed with it in seed from. Only strains I've found worth growing in the flat lands of Canada are ss early and northern lights.

its called hunting my friend
Yeah man it's deffinitely a blessing and a great oppertunity and is going to step my grow game up huge. Can't wait for spring and get my hands in that dirt! And get some nice island fresh air for the season so much good land around there to for stuff like kayaking and some of the best most scenic hiking along ocean forest trails! Not to mention the history on that island is long known to be a pirate island and all the little islands that surround it as well so I'm sure my metal detector will come in handy :)!
my mom was born on deer island word is grampe moved a few loads wickii grew up talking old french
