Looks like old man winter is gonna stick around into early April. Looks like some really chilly air is going to park itself over most of the central and eastern parts of the country dammit. This map represents the % departure from normal highs. Looks beautiful in northwest part of the country though or at least plenty of warmth. .

around here ya got from june 1 - sept 15 to be really safe here on the coast so ya better have strains that finish in that time period

I'm waiting until june 1st this year. I've also matched my indoor light cycle to the same sunrise/sunset times on june 1st. Last year my plants started flowering when I put them out and then had to reveg. I hope that doesn't happen this year..
that's how we do it got it coming on at 4 am and going off at 10 pm now and the first of may knock it back tp 900PM and put out first of june and its close enough and I never have a plant do anything except grow

It's not so much weather for me as the fact that these heavy indica hybrids seem to need more hours of daylight than early May can provide. It's the same as late July/early August sun angle so that's all you need to know.

You should be able to start sooner that up here smidge,by a couple weeks.maybe you just get longer time in the end now I read it again, lol

If my logic is correct, I would think the days would actually be slightly longer in the northern latitudes from late June, July, August and part of Sept because of the earth's curvature or am I wrong? Like the equator might get up to 13 hours light, 11 dark versus the poles where at the right time of year it's light or dark 24/7.
