New england growers thread!!!

I've got some bagseed saved up, I'm still planning on seeding I95. I'm thinking in a few weeks. I never "threw" seeds before but I think I'll get 'em to crack before I toss them. I'm hoping some of you will join me... just think of driving to work and seeing plants growing next to the highway.

Well I got my seeds in 10 days at the end of march,I started germing them april 12 and in 48 hours they all opened up and went into arganic soil worm castings and compost perilite.for the last week they are only geting supperthrive and water.they are under 6 cfls that =around 16,000 lummens.there are20 plants and only one didnt pop.temps around 82 they are in a 45 gallon rubbermaid.In 2 more weeks they will go to a 5x5 x4 grow box with 8t5 and 10 cfls the set op is pushing 48,000 lummens .they will stay in that box till the 10 of June then out doors they go.

So for the last 3 day/nights i've had a 1 foot plant outside male of course. I am am in a colder area than most so i'd say 2 or 3 weeks it'lll def be safe to plant where i'm at. The plant is doin alright and actually have seen some growth out of it. It frosted heavy last night and that dude took it like a champ.

Im ordering my seeds from attitude this monday (4/20 what a coincidence) but anyway I'm planning on growing 3 Paradise White Berry Fem and 3 Dutch Passion Passion #1 fem. I'm just hoping that they finish flowering in september, I'm on the north shore of MA and I don't want to worry about mold. Any suggestions or experiences with these strains?

im getting ready to put these bad girls outside. im starting em at 3 feet tall outside, so im hoping for frikkin major biggies this summer. i pray we have good weather this year. wouldnt it be sweet....yoyo hows the preperations going brutha?
what do you guys think will putting em out harm them since they are indoor plants? does it need to aclimate to the weather. will it be overkill having rain, sun cold nights when they been inside in perfect conditions?

Anyways I'm planning on planting them on May 4th now, just to give a little time after the last frost to make sure my babies will grow nice and strong.

Jordis, the only thing I would worry about its outside temps below 45-50deg wind above 10-15mph and animals. Your plants should be alright in the rain but if it gets too cold or too windy they might be severely stressed. I'm planning on waiting till it get no colder than like 45 at night.

Here is an update on second test plant, was put outside in predug plot on south facing slope, it was about 12 inches tall, healthy, green, etc... It survived one night of frost, but the top leaves are yellowed, probably from UVB light. I didn't put it outside a little each day, just planted it. But.... Undergrowth is GROWING!!! I just hope it doesn't turn male or hermie!! Have been pissing all around it and put dog hair all around it, made a fence with sticks, etc... The fucker is growing and looks like it will make it, unless we get some really cold weather I think it will survive. I kept two females inside and starting clones and some other bagseed, hope to have twenty or so females out in the next few weeks, all bagseed and look to be indica dominant!! The weather reports say for central new york state that after wednesday the low temps shouldn't get below 38 degrees! It is time, get em out there!!

dang you kill me nice plants mine are 3 inches AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH hey they are like 3 inches maybe 2 weeks old they are light green with a little yellow but the viens are dark green arnt they to young for nuts im only watering 1 time every 3 days Pm thanks

hey everyone. yeah so, i started a batch of arjans haze 3 around 5 weeks ago and they are about 3 feet high (still vegging). I was planning on having it be just an indoor grow but plans changed, I gotta be out of the apartment soon and no place to move them but outside for the summer. The problem is that its a sativa needing at least 10 weeks to flower. Being in NY, I'm afraid it won't have enough time to finish flowering. Would I need to force it into flowering a little early (doing the ever so annoying box covering method, so it has a few extra weeks to flower or do you guys think it will finish in time on its own?

whats good guys... i had posted on this thread in march because i had some AZ seeds i was trying to grow cus its my first try at this.. but some great things have happened to me and i have received two lemon skunk clones and 10 more seeds that are cheese, arjan's #2, great white shark, and mango. i germed the seeds 5 days ago and they are already sprouted and in cups with coco. Everything looks great so far but I need some help, tell me what i need to do as far as nutes and what you have done in the past that will take my plants to their fullest potential. ill take some pictures soon too. be easy

Ha ha, yeah there is no way i will be covering and uncovering plants. I actually was told by franco from greenhouse seed co. on ICmag that they will finish in time because it will adjust and finish flowering or something but it should finish by mid october, I just have to be careful about frost and humidity

Going to make a grow next spring and I'm wondering if I could just get 6 buckets and sink them in the ground and fill them up with some compost, top soil, some perlite and peat or should I use some fertlizer? So how big should the buckests be 5 or 10 gallons? Also do I have to lay down a layer of gravel under the bucket and drill holes for drainage or is that not nessasary? What else could I do to make a good bucket grow? Do you need to grow with lights at first or can you just germinate and put them outside?

You can do that, molokai. The bigger the better. You do not have to lay down a layear of gravel. Yes, drill holes for drainage and for the roots to enter the native soil as the plant matures. Remove the entire bottom of the bucket if possible. Your choice to start under lights or germinate and plant. Personally, I like to grow out the plants for a few weeks then plant outside.

My outdoor grow got a late start this year, being that it was supposed to be an indoor grow that fell through. Started from seed in early July, planted out in early August, began to flower in early September. If the weather stays favorable, harvest will be late October perhaps early November. The girls can take a few light frosts, however, damp weather brings bud rot. Nine plants, 4 strains: Spearmint (2), Cheese (1), Super Silver Haze (1) and New York 47 (5).
