YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
:weed:

Its almost time to put our seedlings out up here in the great Northeast! I hope everyone is as stoked as I am because I think this season could be wicked. So yeah this is just a thread for all of us growers up here in the harsh New England area. What strains are you running this season? Any new things your doing? Tips, tricks for dealing with this climate, LETS HEAR IT! I just went outside today looking for spots and it was raining and cold...just the way I like it haha. Found some nice spots near a stream so hopefully the foliage doesn't come in too dense or I might have to cut some shit down. Cant wait to hear of some of the crazy stuff people have in mind for this year!!!

STRAIN : I'm growing the same Skunk from the 70's. New Things : Vegging indoors until last frost then out to the greenhouse to flower. Tips,Tricks : I've never done a guerrilla grow so only tip I have is: Don't Get Caught. Good Luck.

Last frost is around April 20th? Thats what I've heard. Thanks good luck to you as well.

Anybody ever grow auto-flowering strains in the northeast???? Toying with the idea of having little weed shrubs everywhere!!! Haha feedback is appreciated.

DAY 7

Welp my ish got here. New 400W conversion light :hump:, and my Fox Farm Organic nutes. It's getting pretty hot in there, like 83-85 degrees the most and humidity dropped to 35%. :(

I setup the fan better towards the light to cool it better and channel hot air out my door. I'm waiting for my mylar, but I'm still concerned about this heat issue. I have no air ducts leading out of the closet, but there is a small hole in the wall..

Would it be ok to feed the hot air into the hole?

I know this is the first day of the setup, but you think the light is too far/close to the seedlings? I'm currently measuring... 4' 2" about the top of the seedlings. You think I could cool down the area with another fan or will I need to possibly run some exhaust/ventilation into the hole? Let me know guys, any advice is appreciated.

Too far from the seedlings. Try putting plastic cups (clear) or plastic wrap over them so the humidity goes up. Moist heat is much better than dry heat. And yea blowing the air thru the hole would be fine.

This year will be my second grow....Livin up in the northern maine woods im definitly going to need some good short hardy plants. I plan on buying some Dutch passion autoflowering tundra. This shit is a mix between hollands hope and mexican ruderalis. I built a coldbox that can fit about 20 plants for probably acouple months. Startin them right outside under the coldbox:weed:

Thanks for the info! I was actually looking at those seeds from attitude. The other one like it the "Tiaga" looks nice too. Just wish they had pics of what the buds look like. How much yield did you get off your autoflowering ones last year? Thats sweet about the coldbox. Did it take long to build??:weed:

Coldframes are actually real easy to build, took me about 5 hours to make.
All u gotta do is find a pane of glass or acouple panes of glass and measure their length and width, then construct a wooden box about a foot or two high. Make sure theirs a little space for oxygen and wind to come through on the bottom. But it has to be slightly slanted for rain to slide off easily. And frost comes from the sky, so the glass sheilds the seelings.it also protects the seedlings from and pests. If you plan on growing in new england i strongly sudgest using a cold box. Last year I grew 15 feminized lowryder #2. In two months from seed I had 12 nice plants with probably 45-50 grams each. Lowryder is the way to go nigga!

Right now what Im planning on doing is 10 tundra or taiga, 3 blue cheese, and like 5 other random ones. Hopefully I can get a decent yield off the dwarfs about half way thru the summer. Will they flower twice in one season???? How was the smoke after? Was it potent?

Oh fuck yeah u can have 2 or 3 harvests with lowryder in the time u can harvest a regular indica strain. The smoke is great if u flush ur soil with water 2 weeks before harvest, and dry indoors then cure for at least a month. 2 hit quit my friend:-o

hello from ri
