So I recently took a shot in the dark and bought a used resivoir/table combo thing with a drip tubing and 75gph pump. I filled it with hydroton as instructed by the guy I purchased it from.
I believe it hold about 10 gallons (maybe more because I filled 10 gallons up to the bottom of the trap so no water is going past the holes in the table from the bottom).
Im trying to maintain a ph of 6.0-6.3. Using the same nutes id be using in soil. The lighting at the momment is a 450 viparspectra led cluster. Air stone in the bottom to maintain circulation.
Honestly, outside of dialing in the P.H. and having my ppm at 632, I have no clue what to do afterwards for sucessfull growing in this type of setup. Dont know if I should maintain same light cycles as the soil and how long I should run the water pump or distance from the water to the growing media.
I currently have some clones that are in the spongy brown rapid rooter plugs and theyre pretty much croaking
The only thing that is thriving is a peat pellet basil seedling that is living it up and actually perked up since i put the guy on this table.
Thank you for your time and advice.
