Well, I'm down to try it to see what happens to my Blue Dream...why not?? I've been wanting to do CS for years now. If they turn out like shit, I'll throw them out..easy enough. If they don't, the whole world will be turned on to the Dream..

Speaking of dreams....this came to me last night in one...

"Double Down Kush"
Sour Lemons x Lemon Chem Kush!

Sour Lemons:
Lemon Diesel (Mexican Sativa x Afghan) x SFV OG) x SFV OG) x SFV OG) x
Deadhead OG ('91 Chemdawg(skunk va) X SFV OGK F4)

X

Lemon Chem Kush:
Aurora Indica ( Northern Lights 5 x Afghan) x
Deadhead OG ('91 Chemdawg(skunk va) X SFV OGK F4)

I hope that makes a little sense..

final product: "Double Down Kush"

(Mexican Sativa x Afghan) x SFV OG) x SFV OG) x SFV OG)) x (('91 Chemdawg(skunk va) X SFV OGK F4))) x ((( Northern Lights 5 x Afghan)) x (('91 Chemdawg(skunk va) X SFV OGK F4)

If this doesn't produce a keeper, what the heck will???
Sounds intense, I smoked a lemon diesel, don't think it was quite of those genetics but who knows I got if from my club lol but anyway there's smelled great, kinda tasted like cardboard lol but I can't see with those genetics how you could go wrong

This came from Emerald Triangle Seeds..a Nor Cal collective. Lemon Diesel placed 6th in the Emerald Cup, THE northern Cali Cannabis Cup. Not to shabby. When I grew out the female Lemon Diesel used in the cross, it had medium sized, very dense , super lemony buds. I'm sorry any bud you smoked tasted like cardboard. Nasty!! The Dead Lemons I have now is only 10 days old and it is a stinky little fuck of a plant. I cant wait to make the cross. This may take a bit to stabilize to a few phenos, but It's on..

I think you, Chef C and coladarmysoldier are right. I have had great success reversing sex with CS made at home with wire and 9v batteries. One of the five crosses I have done was a reverse Super Lemon Haze and Jack the Ripper. I grew two plants out and neither ever showed any signs of going hermie, which suprises me becasue Jack the Ripper usually gets a few pollen sacks on the buds closest to the lights. One of these plants didn't have much odor at all and I thought I would be disappointed, but that bud was the most potent I or my friends have ever smoked. I wish I had taken a clone, but I have plenty of seeds. My point is 1) I haven't seen any evidence of hermie tendencies from CS and 2) I haven't seen any evidence of weak plants or other genetic defects. If anything, I have seen the opposite, maybe because of hybrid vigor.

CS method is less likey to produce hermie prone progeny then any other method out there. CS works by blocking a hormone trigger that tells the branch to produce flowers, without the hormone the branch thinks it's a male and pops full balls. all other methods rely on the plants herm tendancies to produce nanners, thus potentially reinforcing herm traits. CS will work on super stable strains as well. rodelation won't work on some strains at all.

Right on. I'll take some for sure. I will fem my Sour Cream and Blue Dream ASAP.....if those work out well, I will move to do a few more of some very nice cannabis I have kept around for some time. I think my Bubba 76 is definitely a male. I have crazy ideas for that. I want to cross it with the Delahaze. I love Afghan and Haze together....such a strong all around blast!

The whole battery thing freaks me out. I think I will buy some from Vitamin Cottage....
The battery method is easy. All you need is 9v batteries, some 99.99% pure silver wire, about .0100" thick and wires to connect them. I run it in a pint of tap water for about ten-twelve minutes and get a solution that I mist two or three time daily. I have even reversed the un-hermiable Cindy 99 with this, but it took a while.

This picture shows the set-up in action. I don't drink the stuff, I just spray plants. and I used it to cure athletes foot once.

I should mention that in my experience, the pollen from the CS reversed plants acts differently than pollen from true males. When true males male flowers open the pollen falls out and dusts everything around it. Most of the pollen from the reversed plants likes to stick to the flower and very little of it dusts everything around it. IN order to get enough pollen to use I have had to let the flowers open then rube them over a fien screen with some tweezers and harvest the pollen that falls through. It is then easy to apply to selected buds with a paint brush. I don't think it would work well if you just put the plants together with a fan. I usually get forty or more seeds from each bottom bud I pollinate. I never pollinate the big buds that get good light and I always let the seeds ripen for six or seven weeks, even if I harvest the plant i leave the branch with the seeds attached and then give it some nutes after I harvest. I always get dark ripe healthy seeds.
