Hey folks,

Long time lurker and occasional poster.

I just switched the lights to 12/12 after a month on my first run with my new gear.

Upgraded from vented 600w HPS to 400w (Timber) of Cree CXB3590 with 39w UVB.

VERY impressed with the results so far!!! Lower wattage and easier to manage heat.

New is also the environment controller and CO2.

Here's a video for you:

Many thanks to all of the folks who posted here and made YouTube videos like GrowMau5.

Thanks, man. Yes, I have been running the UVB full time, though, it is plugged in to the lower plug on the Hades 2 now so it does have a 30 second delay after the CXBs come on.

My BlueLab just started flashing last night so I had to run out and get some calibration fluid. Need to get that pH down a lil.

I am also using Panasonic fans in case anyone is wondering. There is a Whisper Line 120 on full time in the attic venting the closet. The Whisper Ceiling on the tent is an 80cfm though a 50 would have been fine.

Can you post a before and after temps experience please. Also any changes in running exhaust

Thanks for your interest and questions. I have not really monitored temps though I have ordered the RS223 (USB<->RJ45) doomaflatchi and software from Titan. Heat management is just easier and I have also yet to go through a California summer in the upstairs closet. It is cold here now.

As far as the different iterations of venting that I have been through in this closet over the last 8 or so years, this is the evolution....

Original:
Vented 600w hps enclosure. There was a 6" Vortex up in the attic blowing into a carbon filter. The duct came through the ceiling and into the area and then through the light and then back up to the top of the room. Lots of duct. It also took significant effort to quiet the loud-@$$ Vortex. I had to suspend it from the rafters in the attic with bungee cords and wrap it in a blanket of 1.5" close cell foam.

Next iteration (short lived):
Swapped the 6" Vortex for a 340cfm Panasonic WhisperLine. It was a tad too loud and moved more air than I needed.

Iteration 3:
Returned the Panasonic 340cfm almost immediately and replaced it with the 240cfm, which was perfect.

Latest iteration:
I went from a single fan that was on 100% of the time to a twin fan approach with the LEDs and significantly reduced ducting. Up in the attic is a 120cfm Panasonic whisperline that is on 24x7. It blows into a large Mountainair carbon filter.

Sitting on top of the grow tent is a Panasonic WhisperCeiling 80cfm. It is controlled by the Titan Saturn 6 and the humidity and temp are set to "decrease" and "connect".

Just a quick note, you should hook up a little switch to turn that UVB off when you're messing around in the tent. That stuff ain't too great for your exposed soft fleshy bits.

Other than that, might I say, holy fuck your grow is nice and quiet! That's quiet the filtration apparatus you've got pumping up there, nice grow tent, nice environmental control, really just all so well thought out. My only point of criticism is the grow medium, I'm an organics man myself and I can't help but judge a little bit when I see people using synthetic nutrients. Of course, that makes me a judgemental asshole, doesn't actually reflect on you now that I think about it.

Either way dude, quality post, nice video.

Cool. Thanks.

The Sunblaster T5 does have a switch on it an I do turn it off. Thanks for that. Or I just pull the plug at the controller (bottom one).

Yeah, it is quiet. It took a while to get it nailed. That thing hanging is just the Eheim air pump. Panasonic vent fans are quiet and so are Eheim air and water pumps. The loudest thing in there are the somewhat soft sounding relays and the tink-tink of the co2 tank relay.

I might go organic someday. I think the Canna line is supposed to be full organic. Have not looked into it at all yet.
