new clone yellow leaves

Hey its my first post here. I mostly just lurk but couldnt really find what I was lookin for this time.

SO, my friend was given a clone that is now about 10 days old. It has three main groups of leaves. Two groups have turned yellow and the third group is still looking okay. There is new growth so he knows that its growing and has roots. He was wondering if he should remove the yellow leaves or leave the alone for now. Keep in mine these leaves are too far gone to come back and are getting worse everyday.

ocean frost medium, no nutes yet, ph at 6.5, clone is now outside and has no insects that hes aware of.

I would just let them fall off on there own.

Doesn't it usually mean that the clone is tryin to grow roots when the leaves start to turn yellow, at least thats what i've always heard.
