Hello, I am not new to growing , just to breeding, I have a unique phenotype N.Y.C.D, It smells just like you cut into a fresh lime even with a slight brush up. It also is done flowering in 45 days. I am more then happy:-P with it, But recently I received a few Afghani plants from regular seeds, And just so happens there were a few males, I picked the best one in my opinion and through it in with two of these Diesels just for the hell of it . Now the question. Is this seed going to be viable and worthy of growing:?:. I have heard a lot about f1 and crossbreeding and this and that etc, etc. I don't know shit about any aspects of breeding. My Diesel is a 65/35 hybrid crossed with a true/pure Indica Afghani. What can I expect. :?: Any pointers or info. Also I have been feeding them regular Technaflora flower nutrients, Any special diets I should have them on.:?: Do seeded plants take longer to flower then regular plants>:?: A few answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks For Your Time.

Not an expert in breeding for sure but to the best of my knowledge and experience your f1 is going to be a look and see. If you were breeding like strains you would expect a majority to be like their parents. The cross you are doing is mixing a new gene pool into the mix so it should be a wait and see what traits of both parents are dominant, once this is done you start looking for the pheno you were hoping to get and then can start the journal of producing that specific plant.
As far as flowering time for the pollinated branches I find they actually tend to ripen faster with the seed. So much of it is going to depend on when you pollinated in the flowering stage. But it seems they ripen several days on average to the other parts of the plant.
I can't answer your feeding schedule since I am unfamiliar with the products but I don't give my plants anything special which are producing seeds over the non-pollinated branches.
Hope this helps and good luck

Thats what I was afraid of hearing, I really didn't want a ton of different traited seeds, But The more that I think about it , I look forward to seeing them, and am hoping for a plant that grows 6 inches a day, flower's in 25 days and produces 5 lbs a meter sq.. One can dream and hope :). Thanks for the input. p.s Technaflora is BC Products

All the different phenos make it all worthwhile to me. I keep looking, cracking seeds and hope one day I find that one to fulfill my dreams. Well, the getting there is all the fun and adventure.

Keep after what you seek and you find a way to produce it.

Yes your seeds will be viable and worthy of growing..You will get a bunch of phenos some leaning to mom some leaning to dad somewith a mix of both and so on.Being that your diesel is a fast finisher and afghani are in the genetics there is a chnce it will start to lean more to the afghani. You should be fine with the regular feediing schedule, seeds take 4-6 weeks to be done but its best to go full term and go 6 weeks. They do not take much longer than regular plants in flower but you do want to make sure your seeds are viable so its best to make sure u go the term for seeds if thats your plan..

Thanks to all who replied to this thread. I have pulled 70+ seeds out of plant and i havent even cut them down yet. these are just the seeds on the visible outsides. This is what I wanted. now I dont have to order hundreds of dollars of seeds and the genitics are among my favorites, I will be opening a journal up at a later date and see what kinds of variety's I end up with. THANKS AGAIN
