New Aerogarden Medical Grow! DJ Short Blue Moonshine

So after an ordeal of germinating, sprouting, nurturing then sexing, then cloning, clones root, transplants, etc. I finally have another plant in my aerogarden. I got a pack of DJ short blue moonshine seeds from the Attitude seedbank and I have a dozen clones in the backyard. The clones got a little yellow and crispy in the cloner but have bounced back without a problem.

I decided to stick one in the aerogarden to compare with the soil AND see if I can get better results in the aerogarden then the past with gained knowledge and experience. Also to have a mother indoors just in case. I have the aerogarden pro with 3 bulbs. I am running an airpump with 2 airstones in the res.

As usual, pictures, day 14. I lst'd and topped it yesterday.

Anyways, hang out, let me know what you think, what to do, etc. Let's grow some fire.

so me and the plant have had an interesting month involving a move and she spent a bunch of days stressed the hell out.
Luckily she recovered nicely, you'll see in the pictures that in my efforts to take some clones the plant's going to grow up into a funny looking bush, but it's not the end of the world.
I took some clones a couple days ago and I'm hoping to take some more in a couple days and so on.

thanks!
I'm finally getting the hang of taking clones, my most recent batch look best and I'm already seeing signs of roots. That's half the time the last batch took. Very pleased.

you should start a thread on how you take clones from what you use to how and when and all that bullshit. i bet it would be a hit if not extremely helpful to me.

I built a copy of the stealth hydro mist cloner. There are directions to build your own or you can by one from stealth hydro.
Sicc posted a video on his 3 cup party cup grow thread that I used to learn. If I have time I will work on something.

I checked out the seedfinder info, DJ short is a real cool breeder. I like seeing where the seeds came from.

agreed^
since its "mostly" indica, are you going to be using a 12/12 flower cycle?
DJ Short wrote a book and of course, I had to buy it. He admits to using unorthodox light cycles, yet doesn't reveal it in his book and jots it down as a "trade secret".

oh cool thanks! I can take some pictures. I took about a dozen more clones off of it so it's back to a rather small stature hah. I think I'm going to let it to take another set of clones then transplant it into soil and flower it out.

I'll upload some pictures in a bit though. And thanks for that link!

Would you say the book is worth it for a hydro grower? There's about 30 things I would rather spend 20 bucks on these days that I'm being frugal about, but I really want to read the rest of that book. It seems to cater almost completely to soil growing though, that could help me hold out.

So I've decided I'm going to switch the aerogarden to 12 and 12 tonight. I'm going to see how flowering goes with just the aerogarden hood. Not really stressing about big dense buds, I just want to see what this blue moonshine is all about before the big harvest :)

Very nice. The book is definitely worth getting, but doesn't really cater to hydro. DJ Short is an organic soil breeder. He doesn't even offer feminized seeds because of it.

yeah that's what I figured, but still, completely worthwhile.

I'm thinking about growing a soil bush or two in the basement under a 1000w. It'll be nice to have the occasional huge soil harvest between the aero ones.
