Hey Guys,

Need a little advice. I just upgraded from a 130 Watt CLF to a 600 Watt sunmaster Dual Spectrum Grow Lamp.

I cant believe how bright this thing is, should be the last of my plants light problems. I assume these things dont need to be so close to the plants right? but how do you keep everything cool?

I am using a closet grow room, i have a fan in there and im about to go get a decent wall fan. Are there any other ways to keep my plants from frying up?

You need exhaust fans that carry the hot air away from the growing area, preferably outside. You also want to draw in cool fresh air with a separate fan. If temps are over 90 f the MJ plant will not grow well and the buds will be light and fluffy.

I just ran a test with the grow doors open and a fan in there and got to 75 degress... if i can get a better fan and get that air out it should be alright right?

big light should make growing better.

are there anyother ways to get it cooler in there?

Listen only hold back of yer hand the same level as the top of yer plants, Then lower that fucking 600W powerful mother fomo light down till your back of hand starts to burn just slightly. Then raise that lights 6" inches, you'll be golden. 600 will diff give you hard buds..

mate, that looks amazing.

Unfortunately i just dont have the space for one of these air coolers.. .i will just have to take it back and beg for them to change it to 400 Watt.. i suspect they wont take back the globe since its been used but at least they should take the ballast back and exchange for a 400 watts which should be a lot more manageable

I agree with Honkeytown. The 600 will be sweet and all you need to help with the temps is a cooltube. Give it a look before you take it back.

There just wasnt enough ventilation in my area for the 600... even though it was a sight to behold... like a bloody sun coming out of my closet.

I have the 400 W now... getting the same amount of light on the plants as the 600 was, but at a much more manageable temp of 79-82 degrees F.... just means i have to have it alittle lower then the 600 and that means the penetration wont be as deep but still with some creative plant training theres plenty of room in the grow tent for some big ass plants.
