Netanyahu: "If Iran Wants To Be Treated Like A Normal Country..

I thought Elizabeth Warren's approach to the situation was rather sly.

In the days leading up to the speech, when asked repeatedly by reporters, Warren was very vague about her plans to attend. But just before the speech, she announced that she would not attend.

Could she possibly be playing a bit of the "offend nobody" game in prelude to a presidential run? That is, don't be adamantly against the speech so as to not offend potential swing voters, while giving no one a chance to say that she supported the speech.
It's well played, good politics unfortunately. I thought of her as the type of person who actually had principles and stood up for them, but I guess politics eventually trump principles.

I just feel like we can't trust Iran. Doesn't mean we can trust Israel either, of course, but negotiating with Iran over nuclear weapons makes them like the US and us like the Native Americans back in the day that we fucked over. Broken treaties and bullshit handshakes. Iran does whatever they want to and this shit is going to escalate. They're bad motherfuckers and want to annihilate Israel/Jews, and that's bad news for the world, not just the Jews. Too bad we can't remove ourselves from that part of the world and stop relying on them for oil or other needs.

I kinda like her too, and yes, I think they all have to play the game at some point in order to get the big prize. Unfortunately.

What makes you think we don't? I mean when the shit hits the fan, not all the posturing that goes on beforehand.

Do you honestly believe that politicians who rely on votes and almost ALL claim to be Christians would abandon Israel? Where are you from? This shit is biblical to them, until that mindset is gone we will always support Israel. Sorry, I wish it weren't true either, but that's the reality I see.
there were some 50 dems who were not in attendance.

i'm not alone.

Oh no, not alone, but in the minority (which doesn't make you wrong). I think religion will have to play a much smaller role in politics before we turn on Israel. Like I said, that shit is biblical to those people.

She showed me that she has principle, simply by not attending that dog and pony show. Now she probably also has left herself open to be called anti-Israel, which you should know is a kiss of death in American politics. That woman has my vote.

That's the main problem, that they actually believe deep down inside (really?), along with a shitload of evangelical Christians on their side, that God did give them the land call Israel. How do you deal with that? Disprove that calamity of a book called the Bible? Good luck on that one, just like making a martyr for Mohamed believe there is no paradise. It ain't happening, and the world is fucked as a result.

well unless god can testify in a court of law (that he gave them) they don't have a case.

someone needs to enlighten them.

where should we serve god his subpoena for trial?

my suggestion?..split it..nobody gets what they want 100%..it's called life..learn to deal with.
