Nepali Pink and Straw. Cheesecake

Wasn't really happy with the Chemdawg 4 I grew so I picked up these two clones from my local Disp. I am running 13 T8 led ballast bypassed tubes in my "custom" light fixture. They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I have topped the Napali once already, they are in 1 gal pots at the moment. Pic is from a few days ago. Tomatoes look a little sickly so I put them out in the sun now. Feedback is OK.IMG_0058.JPG IMG_0059 (2).JPG

Napali Pink looked like it was a little hungry, some yellowing of the leaves, so I gave them some food. Daughter picked up some Royal Gold Kings mix for me to use when I upsize the pot (Thanks @Aeroknow for the recommendation). Topped the Straw Cheese also. Need to tack up mylar on the east wall, just haven't gotten to it yet.

4 weeks old today. Moved out the table so I could tack up the last piece of mylar on the east wall and in preparation for upsizing the pots shortly. Fed with Greenleaf Megacrop @3/4 tsp per gallon. They still look a little hungry so hopefully the switch in nutes will get them going in a more positive direction. I'll probably top them again in about a week. Had some drama when I was adjusting the main light, it somehow came unhooked from the ceiling when I was adjusting it, luckily I was holding on to the rope when it happened, and didn't smash anything.IMG_0067.JPG IMG_0068.JPG IMG_0069.JPG

Yup, it was time to repot. They were both a little rootbound, but not really bad. They are in 5-6 gallon pots now.IMG_0071.JPG

Looking into hanging a couple 315W CMH hoods, they are open so I'm not sure what the heat gain would be.
Currently my tap water is running 7.6 pH, no bueno. I'll check it with nutes mixed in soon.
Room temps have been running 71-83, humidity 33-54, might need to add another air stone to my water bucket for humidity.

Fed with 3/4 tsp Megacrop per gallon of water and used a gallon per pot. (nutes reduced water pH to 6.5-6). Soil holds a lot of water, lots of coir. Topped them again, won't need to do that for awhile again. Temps are running in the 70's, humidity 45-58%, humidity will go up after I put the overflow on the floor to evaporate. They should green up a bit after getting fed today, I hope...3-28.JPG 3-28 Nepal.JPG 3-28 Straw.JPG

Swapped my main light fixture for a 315W CMH and added a power strip so I can run my exhaust fan again. My air pump and circulation fan were using all the outlets on my west wall. Not sure how much heat gain I will get yet, guess I'll find out tomorrow morning after it has been on for 6 hours. The biggest hassle I have is getting my tap water down to a usable pH level, it runs about 7.6 out the tap. I have some phosphoric acid that will bring it down to 6.5 with 1/4 tsp per gallon3-30.1.JPG 3-30.2.JPG 3-30.3.JPG .

Swapped out my exhaust fan with a higher CFM fan. I'll use my old one as a inlet fan if needed. Plants look really good, I'll get my weekly pics up in a little while. Need coffee first.

Napali Pink on left, Straw Cheesecake on the right. Napali looks like it needs some water soon, but the pots still check moist with my meter. I'll do that tomorrow. 6 weeks since planted.4-4.1.JPG 4-4.2.JPG 4-4.3.JPG

Plants are still doing well. I tried to use a temp controller for day/night temps, but it seems the night setting didn't work very well. Got down to 66 from what the thermometer said. The heater is a $12 Wally manual type but it works ok after some tweaking. I'll check in the morning to see how it does tonight without the controller.

24 hr temps 72-84, tweaked it down a smidge. Plants are ready to top again and I have the peat pots ready to try to make some clones. I plan on making 3 per plant, or more if someone wants to take some.

I pulled 4 tops each plant for clones in case some don't take. I'll wait to see how many root and check the plant's shape after this topping before I think about flipping the light. Tomorrow will be 7 weeks, and I'll get some pics up then. Edit: pots actually checked dry today with the meter. I'll get some jugs filled and pH adjusted then determine whether to add nutes. They don't look hungry to me at the moment.

7 weeks today. Fed with 3/4 tsp Megacrop. Got pH down to 6.2, decreased from 7.6 after adding 1/4 tsp Phosphoric acid and nutes. Got good runoff into a bucket to feed the garlic with. Light is about 17" from plants. All is well at the moment. Clones were put in yesterday.IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0007.JPG IMG_0008.JPG IMG_0009.JPG IMG_0010.JPG IMG_0011.JPG

IMG_0015.JPG IMG_0016.JPG IMG_0017.JPG 8 weeks veg tomorrow the 18th. So far so good. I have some discoloration on the cuttings I took, not sure if they were too damp or what. I'll give them some more time and if they don't take I'll cut some more. Nursery just did a clone drop nearby with some strains that sound interesting.

Cleaned out my portable swamp cooler and put it in the grow room. Looking at 90 degrees Wed. Using it to circulate air at the moment. Had to cut 3 more SC tops for clones, the others didn't root, possibly too cool of conditions? Plants are getting too wide for only one light so I mounted my second ballast today. I need to put up another hook before hanging my second light. Possibly tomorrow.

Temps jumped to 95 this morning, swamp cooler was off somehow. I installed the window AC in a hurry this morning to get the temps down. I need to do some trim around it sometime, I'm pretty much done for the day after that. This also happened on watering day, the girls looked pretty bad this morning so I got them some nute water first thing.IMG_0033.JPG IMG_0034.JPG IMG_0036.JPG

Emergency abated. 9 weeks plus two days today. I'm debating on whether to top them one more time or just flip them. I am contemplating putting a return fan with a hose hooked to my window to get cool night air into the room to assist the AC and keep costs down a bit. The Napali Pink (on the left) is 30" tall now.4-27.1.JPG 4-27.2.JPG 4-27.3.JPG

Pulled the raised floor out and flipped the lights, running 1A to 1P now. Had a couple fan leaves kinda turning light colored in the middle, and one that browned. I'm guessing it was from the baking they got. The tops didn't brown though. My electrical gremlin was playing this morning, the AC and cooler were off when I walked in. I was checking the power strip but hadn't touched anything and they started working again. I hate FM.
