Needing some help with root developement

Hello, so i'm currently vegging out some seeds under a 600w MH. I had them in solos under cfl lights for the first few weeks of their life then transplanted into 1.5 gallon smart pots. When I transplanted I over watered slightly so the root development is mediocre to say the least. The problem is I need to be watering them less often so the roots can fill out their pot looking for water, but the plants are getting nutrient deficiencies and drooping. When I pick up their pots I know there's water in them still because of their weight.

My question is: should I be watering everyday still despite needing the roots to spread out? Or am I better off watering less often?

Medium - Roots Organics Soiless (Coco Coir with perlite, peatmoss, and other shit already mixed and ph'd)
Temperature - 74-78 degress F
Nutrients - FloraSeries with CalMag

I had problems when I potted some newly rooted cuttings into their big pots my last grow so I put 1.25ml of Clonex into a 2Ltr bottle of 5.8ph water and watered my plants with that, (including my bio-bizz grow) and I don't know for sure if it was that or they were just taking time, but my root growth improved immediately, 2 days later the roots were at the bottom of the pot. This was a 12Ltr pot.
Can u help me? Would it be safe enough for me to put a 400w bulb in a 600w ballast for a week?
Good luck with the root issue!

It stress/shock twice. You shocked them with a rough transplant( prob not root bound enough) then you compounded the problem by sticking them under the much bigger 600watter. Put them back under the cfl and no watering unless they perk up and the pots become light to lift. When plants are sick they dont drink much if at all and watering/feeding makes things worse. They should recover.

You really think that would do much? The plants always look better once I give them nutes the roots just aren't as far along as I want them to be. I was looking more for an idea to make the roots grow faster

I don't think 400w bulbs are compatible with 600w ballasts :( I have some rootech, are you saying I could mix that up in the water?

I had problems with root growth when I planted newly rooted cuttings into their big rhino buckets so when I was watering with my usual bio-bizz grow, I got a 2 litre bottle of water that I ph'd to 5.8 with lemon juice. (much better than unnecessary chemicals in ph down brands). Anyway I put 1.25ml of Clonex root hormone into the 2 litre bottle of water and gave that to my gurls. I know for a fact it helped mine M8. Maybe worth giving a go unless someone else can give you some better advice, good luck pal.

Just noticed I sent 2 same posts lol. I don't know what that stuff you got is M8, but as I explained in last post I sent, I used some Clonex in a bottle of water separate from the other nutes, ph level n ml's of Clonex and water are in last post M8, maybe let ur pots go near dry as this will make riots stretch out to find water so maybe cut back on the watering for a week or so...? Just an idea, not a guaranteed solution.

Thanks for the help man. Pots were a little lighter before so I gave them another water with some root solution. We'll see what happens
