Needing Help from Plushberry Growers

Hey plushberry growers, I had a question for you if you have a second.
One of mine plushberrys has some serious purpling on the stem. I've never grown a purple strain, so I was wondering if this is genetic of purple phenos or is this nutrient deficiency?

Can't really give you a definitive answer, but I can tell you that I've had purple and non-purple strains go purple on their stem and the end product didn't seem to be changed.

Obviously there is a reason for it. I'm just saying don't worry too much about it.

I am growing a purple strain and some stems are purple and some are not. They are all doing well though so I would have to say it is in the genetics.

yeah i wouldnt trip on it ive had it in both green & purple strains [querkle for one] with no bad side effects youre plant looks good to me

i agree the plants look really nice, i like the coloring, you will see some coloring in the stems with plushberry, i have at the start but only on a few of them

Beans my first indication would be nutrient based the BCS mom has green foliage and green stems throughout its growth but knowing you the mix is not missing anything.
The color gene is heavy in the BCS lines so it's very possible its genetic.

I posted in the plushberry thread that 5/10 of the beans I popped had distinctive purple on the stem, and the other 5 did not. 3 were really dark purple and the other 2 were lighter. I have marked them and will follow to see if they are specific phenos. Best of luck on those Beansly

I would think that if it were a defficency, with that much purpling in the stem it would showin the leaves too. No signs of phos or mag deff? If everything looks healthy, then no worries. I have a super lemon haze pheno that does that, gets semi purple leaves, and finishes in 48 days. Genetics are a wierd thing.

I've had purple stems that look close to yours & your leaves look healthy so I would not sweat it

Certain phenos will color due to temps as well & traits whether the leaves and or the stems
