i have a 10 x13x7 room ,,, currently running a 600 hps, i have 1- 6 inch fan running a carbon scrubber, and i just hooked that up to a new vented hood,, before was a bat wing,, my temps were running around 80 deg with the bat wing..
my intake is way under rated in my opinion,, its just a 6 inch vent pusher i think its 160 cfm
but my intake air temp is 68 deg.. early in the morning and is aroun 75 and up closer to lights out,,
my current temps are running in side the room is running 68 at lights out to 80 deg,, depending on the time of day.. i would like to add a second 600 hps but with the current temps i need advice on how to lower the temps so i can run the second light,,,
the wway im running the current light and vent ,, im running the carbon scrubber pushing threw the vent, and i reduced the vent down to 4 inch...
I cant get out side air because i rent,, { land lord never showes up not even for repairs) nd cant afford to add a second light and a air conditioner..
looking for best options thanks

If you can't get an AC, and using a vented hood isn't working, maybe look into LED's? Otherwise if you add another 600HPS , it will be inevitable that heat is going to play against you your entire grow.

The bottom line is that you'll need a real inline fan, not the home depot booster fans. They have terrible motors in them and can fail while you're at work and you'll come home to a 110 degree room.

Inside your grow area, the carbon filter is hooked to the fan...fan pulls from the filter and blows out to your hood, and the hood vents out of your grow area.
Filter<fan>hood>out.

i ppicked up a 6 inch inline fan,, so far ive changed all my vent tube to 6 inch,, and so far im running my scrubber fan to vent and im at 75 deg.. so once i get a chance to make my silencer box for the fan.. ill be hooking that up soon ,, so im hoping that my temps will be ok from there,,
itll be run from out side to hoods to out side.. then the scrubber will just scrub the air...
but do i push threw the hoods or pull?

quick question, im putting together my first grow tent but im not sure about the ventilation. my plan is to remove the glass of my double ended 1000w hps and ventilate threw the hood itself, im using an 8inch fan for this but i dont know where to use the carbon filter at. i was going to mount fan and filter outside the tent at the height of the tent exit but is it okay to use the filter this way too, ill be pulling the heat threw it and dont know if it will affect the filter. i was going to place the fan in front of the filter and let exhaust end there but should i put the fan behind the filter and run duct outside?
