Hey all,

Okay, so I'm gonna be bringing my old grow cab back to life.

Dimensions:
Height 100cm x Width 80cm x Depth 50cm

Passive intake
150w HPS
1 x 4inch 240volt Bathroom extractor fan
1 - 2 plants SCRoG

I'm looking for something that I can just plug the extractor into, with some of that tubing you use on the back of tumble dryers. I can't afford the world, so I'm looking for the most affordable one that'll do the job and keep my other half off my back about it. :P

Any help, links, etc appreciated!

Mewk.

Well to be honest mate the smallest/cheapest filter I would recommend to do the job properly would be a 4" Rhino Pro.

The cheapest on ebay (cheaper than grow shops by far) is £25 without postage......

One with delivery is £38 here......

If your bathroom fan has enough torque to adequately move enough air to keep the space cool and healthy for plants while pulling through the carbon filter then all is well, if not then you would really need to be investing in a proper fan, chuck a few quid on top for a roll of duct tape.

If you buy what's called "Combi Ducting" (it's ducting wrapped in vinyl) then although it costs a little more than regular ducting it won't get pinholes in it over time leading you to replace it at more cost.
Combi ducting is very durable.

You can get 6m with delivery here for £10.........

So realistically you're looking at £50 for a filter and ducting for your space if your fan is sufficient, if not you're looking at another £30 or so for a cheap fan.

But living in the UK since the Home Office have reissued cannabis growing sentencing guidelines a couple of years ago the starting point for plant numbers and sentencing is 8 plants.
So if caught the punishment goes on how many plants you have and how sophisticated the setup is, this means that with the starting point being "Under 9 plants" you would get exactly the same punishment (if caught) for 1 small plant in that space you have or if you had 8 trees in the spare room under 1000W.

You'd be better off carving yourself out more space and make the risk of getting caught actually worth your while.

A 1.5m tent with 8 plants and 2 x 600w HPS lights can pull over £4000 every 3 months in the hands of someone competent.

Food for thought.

Peace.

Thanks mate, that was exactly the kinda info I was after. £50 sounds perfectly in my range... As for going bigger, I'm not after selling anything, it'll just be for percy and once in a while.

Thanks for the links! :)
