need to keep em short is it possible 2 start flower after first node starts

im on day 7 now second set of real leaves are in and starting to fill out after thows fill out does it start on its first node or is the first node between the first set and second set and so on

and i was wondering when is the shortest period of time i should wait 2 force flower i was told wait till at least day 14 or end of week 2

open for comments or whats your out look on flowering so eairly
 
i think you can flower whenever you like, just won't get much bud if its too early! ive flowered sativa strains after a couple of weeks and it was fine... just might take a little longer showing sex.
 
ya i heard at least wait 2 weeks than at least you will have 3+ nodes to works with

than sex should start 2 appear from day 5-7 in that time it will devolope more and more nodes
 
you guyz are pretty bang on... you can flower as early as u want but the plant needs to have some structure to hold buds ive hade a plant 6 inches tall from bagseed that was fully flowered with a cute little top bud..... it was funny actually but barely yeilded enough for a joint LOLOLOLOL
 
this occured when that lil one was just an after thought so when i put all my girls into flower the lil one just sat there with the big guys and flowerd i think it was the the second or third node before flowering. I wish I had a pic of that plant but that was 4 or 5 years ago my first indoor grow at 15-16 years old. i had 50 4' 4 bulb fluros and about 35 plants in my buddys moms basement.... what a lovely lady she is for letting us do that eh??? she thought it was a very interesting hobby LOL!!!!!!!!

haha nice ya i know a few ladys like that :P so third node would be the third set of leaves that come in or how does that work
 
i hear starting it at 6 inches tall will get ya a fat ass top and sum nice lil bottom colas with 3 good sized cfls
 
I don't know about your height restrictions but you might want to consider training if you are running out of only vertical space. Personally it sounds like you only want to grow a plant if it will yeild enough to cover its own growing time, so a small 3 or 4 noder will yeild very little and not be worth the effort, however if your just throwing a small plant with your big ones like I have and other ppl, then I guess its fine, but I'd try LSTing or supercropping so you yeild enough to make it all worth the effort while staying shorter than a foot. Just a thought, hope everyhting works out for you.
 
ya i have a 5 inch pot and im only working with 14-15 inches total from the soil surface im not letting it strech at all so its only about not even an inch if maby tops an inch tall so far on day 7 heading into day 8 after tonight i heard u should only go 1/3 the hight you can work with in veg than switch cause it may doubble its size so i was thinking 5 1/2 inches than start 12/12 2700 scince im already doiing 12/12 6500's do u guys think at 5 1/2 inches start 2 flower prob be thier by week 2 or 2 1/2 that 8-9 inches is enough to work with or should i start sooner
 
you can always tie down the branches and the main stem of your plant so you can have a 1-2 foot long plant, but vertically it will take only 1 foot tops. It sounds like LST might be for you because if you grow a plant normally expect at most doubling its height (for alot of strains) but if you tip the main stem over, the side branches are the only thing growing vertical and their vertical growth is much smaller than a plant grown normally (example: your 2 foot long plant is 6 inches tall, it probobly will only grow another 6 inches for hybrids and indicas) so just a thing for you to consider if you have the horizontal room. I know plants that were 1 1/2 foot tall with the pot and was 2 feet long and yeilded almost a QP.
 
seems like after putting 10 cfl in your stealth grow your gonna be short on space.. Lst and flower after the second node.. you may only get four grams dry. but if its worth it to you then shit go for it.. and dont let them piss in your cheerios the amount of light is based on the size of the box your growing in and the amount of reflection your using.. check out my journal i only used five cfl to veg and using three to flowering plus some t12 flouro..
 
I have grown with only 1 week of veg and yielded up to an OZ on a plant, less on some . Hope to do a little better on this grow. 1 week veg 8 weeks into flower.

The shortest is 18in and the tallest is a big sativa dom plant 4ft! most are in between 20 and 40in.
