Need to change my 12/12 schedule

Hey folks, I need to change the 12/12 schedule on 9 plants that are in the 5th week of flower. The lights come ON at 8:30AM, the lights go OFF at 8:00PM.

I need to change this to on at 7am and off at 6:30PM

Should I give a full 24 hour darkness, or just switch them over all at once? It's in the 5th week and they all look gnarly so they are very happy as things are. I want to keep the transition smooth.

I would NOT do a darkness period 5th week in, just reset your timers to come on at your new time, it was only like a hour or 2 earlier, your plants wont skip a beat. The extra darkness time could confuse them & may cause them to herm if the hormones start to change, or the plants get to stressed.

I don't know about all the stress hermie hormone stuff, but just change the time. Nature isn't always exact either, they'll be fine

i wouldn't bother... you are only changing the cycle by a hour and a half
make the change... stick with it... all is well

plants dont know the time only the amount of light recieved on the surface of the leaves over a period of time.

relax under a sun bed for 6 mins, great.
now relax under for 12 mins, you will need plastic surgery for the burns lol, but your body does not know how long you have been there only the amount of rays it has taken and you will squeal like a pig.

get on with it just change the timers. the plants will receive the same amount of sun over a 3 day period.
that is how it works.

they have not got their sunbed alarm set you know.

Alright, thanks folks. Timers changed :)
Good Luck
and remember that when it is relly bad weather it takes longer to get light through to the earth in the morning.
and when the weather is very good it gets very bright at the crack of dawn.
