Need some QUIET fans

OK so I orderd a couple of can fans with my latest light purchase, and they are way too loud for me to keep my cabinet stealthy. The last 4" inline fan I had on my last grow wouldn't have been stealthy either and it was supposed to be a relatively quiet one.

So I have 6" converting down to 4" so either size fan would work for me. Is there an inline fan I can get that will not be heard from within a cabinet?

I also need to get a wall mount blade fan to push air over my plants. See several available online but no way to know how quiet they are -- can anyone recommend a good wall mount fan that would also not have too much noise?? The smaller the better.

Cabinet is 47" x 19.25" x 63.25" tall

Have you tried using a fan speed controller? I cannot even hear my can fan 4inch inline at all unless I am within 2-3 feet and it is a whisper at full speed.

I hear using the 6 inch with a fan speed controller makes it significantly more quiet without sacrificing CFM. I have heard good things about the S&P fans.

I have the S&P Silent Series which was just released in the US in December 2011. I'm running the 8" version and I can highly recommend this model. It runs 75% quieter than the equivalent Can Fan. I'm also running a speed controller on it.

Noise was a major concern for me as well, this fan is top notch, although pricier than a Can (mine was $275).

Forgot to mention I have a 22" carbon filter that's go on as the air intake to the cooltube once the smell becomes an issue -- so whatever fan I get has to provide enough cfm to move air through the filter, which I believe is rated to something like 450 or 460cfm max.

So far the fan I have is working just fine for my cabinet -- it's just loud enough to be heard not just inside the room but outside it as well -- and that is not cool. Of course I'll be turning it off if anyone comes over who doesn't know about the grow I'll have it off but I'd rather have a fan that's quiet enough to run even if someone is right outside or even in the same room. The room it's in there's no real reason for anyon to go into though.

these are no use for an inline solution, but i have built music production PCs for people before using these and actually had to take the side off the case to check the cooling was running.. http://goo.gl/Vk2m0 had to use a link shortener because its to a google shopping page and the URL was about 20 miles long. but yeah, if you need some ultra silent inlet fans, grab acouple of these and some 12v adapters and your golden.. :D
