Need Some Help

Hey guys, this is my first post here. I've been a long time member of GrassCity. I tried asking there but had zero help, so I thought I'd try here =D

My (basic) question is, are there any good docs in Colorado?

I'm looking for a real legitimate doctor, no flake(handing out recs. like they're candy), gives exams or whatever, and will stand behind me in court if/when needed.

I have absolutely no idea where to start.

I've had real bad back problems my whole life, that's progressed heavily in the past 4 years. I can't stand or sit up without back support for more than 20min. without suffering extreme pain, and can hardly do any physical activity for any extended period of time. Even walking. . .

My problem is I'm freshly 18, very fresh. I don't want to seem like another kid trying to manipulate the system so he/she can smoke legally, but unfortunately that's the way it would look from an outside perspective, since I have absolutely no documentation for my back problems, because I've never complained about it. For a couple reasons:

1) I figured the only thing they would do for me is prescribe pain-killers, but from prior experiences with them they did absolutely nothing except in very large doses. By the time my back wasn't bothering me anymore, I'd be too messed up to do anything anyways.

2) After I discovered that MJ helped and my parents found out about my use they flipped. I figured that if I were to mention it to them they would think it was an excuse just to get pain-meds. So I didn't even bother.

Any suggestions, referrals, whatever?

Hey man I would say it doesn't really matter what doctor you go to. Get your liscense while you can if you can. I don't know if it's getting harder to get them or not since I've had mine a few months now but who cares what somebody may or may not think about you? A doctor isn't going to testify in court for you why would they need to? What will you be going to court for? There isn't anybody out there going to check your mediacal condition and taske you to court for being under-qualified or anything. if anything you will just not be able to get your liscense reinstated next year when it comes up for renewal. Also, it doesn't matter if your dieing of cancer and have a license technically it's still a crime so your taking the risk of being prosecuted no matter how sick you are although it's unlikely. My suggestion is to get a license any way you can there are those that say no medical history required, so check em out on craigslist or the westword or w/e and find a doctor who will write you a recomendation. Than if your worried about medical records start going to a new doctor and maybe let him know that your already using medical marijuana and it's out in the open and you can get other treatments that may be necessary and you could use those records for proof of your illness in the future. I don't think a lot of personal doctors are going to want to write you a recommendation, especially on a first visit type of thing because they might see it as taking $ out of their pockets and fears of being under scrutiny for doing it. If you already have a license before seeing a new doctor, they shouldn't be worried about you using him to get a license and once you build a report with him and let him know it helps and you prefer it to other medications, he might be willing to sign off on your renewal if he needs to in the future....who knows what the laws will be next year. Also perhaps the doctors signing these recommendations could be your new doctor or give you a referral to a specialist, preferrably a 420 friendly one.
