Need Some Help.

Ok, so its been one year since I first tried to grow(unsuccesful). So now I have a newer setup with CFLS and now a co2 generater. I am trying to grow some bagseed I am pretty desperate to get even alittle bit of weed(sober for 6 months) :(.

Its been almost 5 days and my seed has not germinated yet I have not had any problems with this before so I just thought of sticking it in the medium early.

So my question is(finally) :p, should I put it in a smaller cup-like...cup lol and transplant it later or should I just put it in my 2 gal. Medium now?

would a styrafoam cup be fine if I were to do it like this one?
Or should I cut some of a pop bottle and use this one?

Another thing is I have read that I need a minimal of 2000 lumens from these CFLS and right now I have a 26W with 1750 lumens will this be good enough for let's say 1-2 weeks until I can get another of the same CFL?

Thanks in advance. :)

ok, if you want 1 plant here's what you do,

i did my first grow recently, around 70 days from seed to chop, and got 20 grams of dank.... this is meant to help you out, a little.

from walmart:

4 clamp lights - 20 bux
1 4-pack 26 watt daylight bulbs - 12 bux <more or less
1 4- pack 26 watt soft white bulbs - 12 bux
2 soft white 42 watt bulbs
emergency blankets

from home depot

1 sqr foot scotts soil (the cheapest one, light on nutes, no bugs, it worked fine for me) 2 bux
1 5 gallon bucket
4 y-splitters

use the emergency blankets as the reflective covering of your grow area or box,

set up the clamp lights so that the bulbs are sideways, not top-down to your plant because more light escapes through the sides of CFL's....

now,

remove the reflectors from the clamp lights

place the Y splitters on the clamp lights, and screw on the two 42 watt bulbs...

the 42 watt bulbs will always be used through out the grow, the rest of the holes on the y splitters put the daylight bulbs first, then any remaining with the soft white...

that's what you will use for veg.... timing is 18/6 for veg. top the plant at the 4th node to get more yield.

once the topping has healed you can change the lighting for flower...

switch all the daylight bulbs for softwhite ones, and any remaining holes put the daylight ones on....

switch the timing to 12/12, and the waiting game begins..........

this is kinda confusing but read it a couple of times, you'll get it....

growing takes a lot of time and patience but it's worth it... good luck....

i dont see how starting it in a cup would help, transplanting is traumatic to a plant and is best to be avoided

Thanks for your advice. Right now I don't have enough money for anything else but this is only bagseed so when I decide to buy some good seeds that are worth growing I will use your list.

i used this setup and total it was around 150, including soil, nutes, ph tester AND microscope.... not too much $$....

and i used a cardboard box n shit, it was a small, rough setup but it worked.... here's a pic of my yield when it was wet, it dried and shrank somewhat, but ended up being around 20 grams, i'm not sure cuz i smoked quite a bit of it before I got to weigh it and it weighed 15.8, so i'm just approximating it to 18-20 grams of pretty decent quality bud..... they were pretty dense too considering i was using CFL's..... peace!

Thanks man ya 100-200$ doesn't seem like a lot but my situation right now I don't think I can get anything over 15$ lol...but I will beucky enough to get the lights(5 finger discount :P). Lol so wish me luck I'm gonna start my seedling off by putting 24/0 under 1 or 2(2nd CFL not working I don't know why maybe a CFL pro can help me out)...CFLS with 1750-3350 lumens.

get 2 4 packs of lights...and a Y-splitter is something that u screw into the light socket and it turns it into 2 light sockets...u can find them at home depot, lowes or a hardware store
