Hi i managed to pick up a bargin a few miles from my house being a relecter hood 125 watt bulb and ballast, i am a bit confussed as im nearly 100 percent sure its a cfl bulb and was under the understanding they are self ballesting, but the connecter on the hood from the e40 fitting is a strange connector which would go to the ballis what im wondering can i just chop it and put a normal plug on, and not have to use the ballast, i have put in a couple of pics of the bulb and connector which i want to just change for a plug, so can someone confirm its a cfl bulb and if i can just whip out the stranger connector for the ballast and put a normal plug on it, cheers guys
