Well I have grown outdoors a few times but never indoors. I have started 10 seeds. 5 Mandala Hashberry and 5 Sweet Tooth. All of them have sprouted but I have noticed that they are really lanky. I have the 4 floros 8 inches away. I am growing in Fox Farm Ocean with perlite. No nutes yet because I feel they are too young. I have ordered two 4ft 4 bulb T5's which I will use one to help veg and I will be using 1 to flower with along with a 250w HPS. Any advice would be much appreciated. The ones in the plastic cups are the Sweet Tooth and the ones in the black pots are Hashberry.

looking very stringy.. they are stretching for the light. you should move it closer. cfls can usually get within1-2 inchs without burning.. and you can repot up to the green growth in a bigger pot. also put an oscillatinfg fan on them in order to make the stem stronger next time(mimics the wind of outdoors)

i think he is using tube flouros not cfls. in that case you can have them an inch a way. in fact any further and it gets pretty weak.

i'd bury half that stem in soil and let it turn into part of the root system them move the light closer.

I have the lights only a few inches away. Once I get my T5's I think that will help too. Now to bury the stem should I just put more soil around it then? When should I start using nutes. I will be using Fox Farm 3 part. I am use to doing outdoor and I usually start nuting after a month outdoor.

yes just bury stem with soil... Same nut regimen... after a month is pretty safe

yeah keep them close to the light, they are just a bit stretched. and a month in is about a good time for nut's or when ever you notice something lookin like a defeciency.

Do you guys think that a 4 ft 4 bulb T5 flouro and a 250w Hps is enough for flowering. The T5's put out 20,000 lumens and I think the 250HPS is around 25,000. I can use 2 T5's and the 250w but I wanted to keep one of my T5's for veg. Any advice is much appreciated.

Can I cut clones while the plants are in the early stages of flowering?

WOW, they are going to topple over soon if you do not put some more soil in the cup to support the stem and move the lights 2-4 inches closer RIGHT NOW!

Lights are now basically touching the plants and I put them in a smaller area so there is less light wasted. More soil has been put in as well and they look beautiful now. The are a 4 bulb fixture T5. Each bulb should put out 6,500 lumens but i figure that they will only put out 5,000 each. So for flowering I can have 2 (4 bulb) T5 fixtures and 1 250w HPS. I was hoping that i would only have to use 1 of the T5's and the Hps because i would like to use the other T5 for veg but I will just use extra flouro's if it would be better to have both T5's for flowering.

Can anyone answer my question on if you can cut clones after i put the plants into flowering? If so how long into flowering am I safe to cut clones in?

Here are some updated pics. They are look very healthy.

you will want to get your flros 1-3 inches above your plants at 8 inches they will strech. with flros they will only burn your plants if the touch them. gl on your grow may you be cursed with many buds
