Need some advice

Ive got this nice plant I started early April. It was started in a Dixie cup, then I transplanted it to a 7 gallon pot. It just showed sex. Its a girl. Yay. Well anyway, she's about 4 ft tall and branchy. I was thinking she could finish in the container, but when I looked at the bottom of the pot, I saw roots all over the place. Just sitting on the ground.(hard ass clay) They came through the freakin drainage holes. Plant doesn't look rootbound whatsoever though. Is there anyway I can transplant this thing to the ground without mucking it up? Ive done 3 gallon transplants, but never anything this big. Did a 5 gallon once and it was a pain in the ass. What if I just sit the whole pot in a hole on top of some good soil. Will the roots find their way into the soil? What can I do? Or should I just leave it alone? If I knew it could yield at least a qp Id leave it in the pot. But it just showed preflowers. Got a while to go. Thanks. Sorry for the long post.

Be careful and it won't hurt them. Or make sure the soil is moist, tap on the outside of the pot pretty hard all the way around and tap the pot on the ground a few times, grab the stalk and give it a quick jerk out of the pot. The root ball should come out intacked.

as TWS said water (soak it down) it really good a day before starting the work. u may have to cut or break the pot the get it off. install the plant in good well drained soil and it should be ready to go. soak it down again after transplanting. GL
