yeah man, that's what i'm talking about, ...me, i was lucky but the op might not be 'cause the fact is, lucy is dangerous in her own right, if the manufacturer of the LSD is even a little sloppy with his measurements who knows how many hotshots he'd be making.

lol, that's a funny question man 'cause it means different things to a person at different times in your life, when i was young i'd have been all for it, and believe me, i've done more than my share, and plenty of it when i was a teenager, ...but now i'm a grandpa, and i've got a lifetime of self-indulgence to look back on, ...so now i think maybe i'd say, as cool as it might be to try them now, maybe it's better not to mess with the chemistry of a brain whose chemistry hasn't stabilized yet, one that isn't fully developed yet.

...but all that being said, if it comes to a choice between the shrooms or the acid, the shrooms are far safer in my mind and in my very personal experience.

be safe in whatever you decide, be safe, be relaxed, find the zen of whatever you do and you are assured a good ride.

i'm sorry man, i don't know you well enough to know how old you are or how mature you are for your age, ...i don't know if you're doing well in school or if you have any goals in your life, ...only you can decide if it's the right time because it'll be you who has to pay the consequence in the unlikely event things go wrong.

...and it's even less likely with shrooms so there is much less risk, but it's easy to get side-tracked when you are a teen, it's easy to get lost in having a good time and before you know it you wake up and you're 28, ...or 35, in the same shit-ass job for the last 15 years and all because you pissed your teen years away having a good time instead of learning to pay attention and watch your ass.

we only get one life and we lose vigor as we age so it makes sense to get all the hard work out of the way before we begin to tire, lol.

look, i'm sorry for the life lesson, as it were, but i really am a grandfather and i really did waste my youth having a good time so sometimes i can't help but share how things seem to me after all these years.

...just judging by your willingness to discuss and to ask these questions, and to really listen and try to understand speaks well of you and suggests that you are mature enough to be safe to try shrooms with little risk of ruining your life through the seduction of a life of partying, lol. ...just be careful is all, if and when you do them, go in confidently, but cautiously, doing it in small doses at first until you learn what your body can safely handle, then maybe you can up the ante.

The clown speaks the truth. I started doing a lot of acid and mushrooms from about 15-19. When I say a lot I mean about 50ish times...which in acid years is about a million (LOL) I survived, but in certain ways I think it had a negative impact...that I don't think it would have had if I'd waited until I was 19/20. But that's a purely personal opinion of my circumstances.

LSD is different. You cant really prepare yourself for what happens to you on it.. Even after doing it for years I cant tell you what to expect.

Just don't be with people you dont like, or your keeping a secret from, or something like that.. It makes you almost forget how to act, and then wonder why? WHY?!? with no answer. For about 15 hours your mind will be scrambled and reality will distort into something weird and amazing. If things start to go bad for you just hold on to the fact that the distortions arent real, the feelings and sound will go away, YOU WILL GET NORMAL SOON, so once you take that shit YOU'RE IN, so just enjoy the ride. Take your mind on a jog. Have fun!

Should try shrooms first though, get some psychedelics under your belt before dropping acid

And yet the one claiming that LSD is frequently adulterated with strychnine is claiming I am.

OP I would wait to dose until you feel well if it's your first time. LSD is not going to suddenly stop bein available. You should get an Ehrlich reagent test kit because of the many phenethylamine derivatives that are potent enough to be layed on blotter.

Like everybody says, be around people you like and in a place you can be crazy in, and you'll be fine. mushrooms or other drugs are not neccessary to "prepare" you, you can't really be prepared. the first time I tripped, I tripped really fuckin hard, and it was a great time. just my 2 cents

Setting is key to having a good trip. Be around friends you're comfortable with, in an environment where you won't really have to 'do' anything for the next 5-6 hours (you also should be in a comfortable environment).

You must not be scared of the acid. Just roll with it. If you start feeling yourself get negative, slowly change your train of thought. Don't fight the urge because you'll lose. And when you lose, you'll think you're in for something bad. Kind of like braking hard on a wet road, you're gonna spin out. Just take it easy, brake slow IF you have to. If not, just sit back and enjoy.

And just remember it's like you're on vacation for a day. No worries. Hakuna matata

There is no strychnine in LSD.. When you leave blotter on the dash in airport parking and then eat it a month later you will find the LSD has broken down into some less effective and more painful compounds.

You will never fry like the you fry the first time. I recommend 500 micrograms, a surgical bed with restraints and a bit of ketamine to take the edge off it while you watch 16 hours of south park re-runs.

I laugh at the strychninne myth..if you take a substance that profoundly affects your central nervous system,of course things will feel weird and uncomfortable.I thought I had bit my tounge like after a dental vist scare with novacaine,but,instead,had taken a large dose of pure lsd..I. just couldn't feel my tounge aftrer eating a big mac and flipped out because I had in the past bit my tounge after getting a filling(not on lsd obviously)...wow,gut/stomach problems,never had those on shrooms(yea right)..my back hurting,holy sheeit! I havn't read the rest of the posts here yet but I felt compelled to state that mushrooms are no less likely to cause a psychotic break than LSD. You are in no less and perhaps actually a bit more danger of long lasting psychological harm from a large dose of mushrooms as you are from a large dose of LSD.

They very much are yes, in my opinion not as risky as pot but a significant experience can cause early onset of psychotosis, it can alter a person's ability to adjust to social situations, how that person relates to others, how they relate to the opposite sex - all things that the young adult is just beginning to evaluate for themselves.


On the other hand, in controlled settings, it can accelerate certain adult behavior, permanently enlighten the young user and set him on a life long path, enabling him to be more empathetic and more "open minded" toward other modes of thinking.


From what I understand, the difference has to do with cultural rooting, ritual and guidence by other established cultural leaders.


An example is the low occurance of alchoholism in cultures that offer wine to their children as opposed to a culture that sees this as unethical. Many cultures send their adolescents out on spiritual quests with the help of various forms of psychoactive chemicals, sensory deprivation or extreme exposure - ant stings, jumping from high structures with viines on one's ankle, sweat lodges, yopo, yage, ayahusca, peyote and the like.

I can think of no more healthy activity than a father taking a psychadelic with his children so long as it is ritualized, controled and has a set defined purpose involving some sort of rigor in mentality and preparation. I believe however that might be difficult given the culture we live in, to accomplish.

I had my daughter promise me that she would never take any inebreating substance without speaking to me first, no matter where we both were and I promised her that when the time was right I would provide her with any substance she was interested in. She called me several times but at each time we agreed it was not appropriate until finally around her 20th birthday she smoked pot with her mother. She dabbled for a year or so and and found it to be marginaly amusing. Alcohol was at 21 and she found no true attraction, opium at 22 and she enjoyed the experience but it was as i said under controled conditions. She finally found her beaming favorite in Xanax and I send her a few every now and then. We have not yet gotten to any other chemicals but I am secure in the knowlege that she will be reasonable in her approaches to altered conciousness.

Holly shit!! Damnit! I haven't seen/tripped since 1993!! That's the last time it was around here where I live!! I have to say I liked it, but also on the other hand everything scared me at 1st. I would light up a cig, and it seemed as if I didn't take 1 drag & it was time 2 put it out,lol. also, my back hurt like a mother!! My eyes "white part" turned yellow! It was a good experiance once I got past the "weird" feeling. I would LOVE 2 find some more,lol!!..
