So I have 3 x Blue Dream and 1 x Amnesia Haze under 600w LED, in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil, 4'x2'x6' tent with filter and inline fan. first time indoor grow.
Anyway, I planted the seedlings 1.5 months ago and even with topping, as you can see (in pics below) the Blue Dream plants have gotten quite large (14" from top of soil).
My question is this - so my plan is to wait another 2 weeks and then switch to 12/12. In the meantime, what should I be doing before then to help ensure:
1.) Short(er) plants (theres not a ton of vertical room under the LED raised to maximum height) - have already topped each plant twice, but I have not done any pruning or LST as I am not experienced with these techniques. Is it too late to LST? Am I safe to prune right now (and what is the best technique - removing lower leaves?) should I top once more?
2.) Higher quality - I repotted in fresh Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil in 5 gal Smart Pots 9 days ago. What can I be doing or giving the plants to help ensure high potency? Is giving it Fox Farms Tiger Bloom enough (starting in about a week once the nutes in the soil are partially depleted)?
3.) Higher yield - I've gone through 2 x stages of topping on the main colas (turned 1 cola to 2 on each plant and then topped each of those 2 colas again on each plant). What else can I be doing to ensure a solid yield? Should I top once more (so cut each of the four new growths off to make 8 x on each plant)??
