Need opinion, just a simple situation

Hey guys, man it's cold out here today! Here's what's up. I have an enclosed front porch with lots of Windows I smoke cigs in and hang out sometimes. I see cars fly through my intersection which has a four way stop, mind you I live in a kinda ritzy place for people from My local city to vacation at. It's really small and quiet, when the tourists are gone. It's 25MPH and they'll completely blow it, even in the snow Idk why people refuse to stop.

It's really dangerous what they're doing. This is the kicker of my story, and I feel weird about the decision I made. I ended up calling the non emergency number, so someone would post up and atleast deter this behavior. I mean, I'm not calling about a drug deal going down. What I did is correct right? For those who know me, I take care of stray outdoor cats and if one got hit I'd rage.
 
I mean, I was a kid before (granted I'm only 25 now) and know how it was to fly around and all that. I truly don't want anyone to get tickets, but cops don't pull people over with giving out lavender scented tickets right?

I didn't even say that I just chased someone up the road where they pulled into the gas station. They blew through it at no less than 40MPH, I haven't done this before. But I'm personally not having one of my cats get hit. Fuck that
 
Are there other neighbors with similar concerns? Maybe you could get video evidence of multie different cars running the signs and bring it to the citys attention. Petition for speed bumps or something. Legally it's about all you can do.
 
Thank you for your time man. Yes both my neighbors feel the same, they blow through it really bad. I didn't do anything for just under a year, but enough is enough.

I'm not going through petitions and whatnot, I'll probably end up doing nothing. Just curious what others would say, thanks man

? not sure what you meant.

Essentially there's nothing you can do. If they aren't your cats you can't contain them in your house. I agree people should follow the rules but even then you can hit a feral cat, just hope they are savvy enough to not run in front of cars. Life is hard.

I would love to help ...However you called non emergency already ..and any of my ideas would definately fix the problem .........but trust me ...the popo would be giving you a call first,simply because you complained already ........I am quite partial to large cinder blocks disguised as harmless things suck as ......let's say leaf piles ..........@curious2garden
