I wasnt saying your growing sucks. I was saying that adding Micro and Bloom, no Grow, is not a wise way to go. It's a 3 part formula for a reason, it doesnt mean 3 part optional. The only optional things are additives! :)
yea my first grow i thought i was suppose to use micro and grow during veg and micro and bloom during flower..had a little problems with deficiency's but it came out cool..my aviator pic is my first grow and ill post a couple more..it cant be that bad to cut out the grow during flower

Humboldt makes nutrients for all types of systems, whether it be soil, hydro, aero, etc..... I use their g/m/b 8 week moderate feeding schedule. Their nutrients are expensive, but I get 4oz plants and 2 Lbs per light. I cant complain. That's also why I dont subscribe to Lucas's methods. His formulas emphasise a proper grow environment and limited nutrients. He's against additives because he doesnt and hasnt used them. That's just stupidity in my book....... The only money pits in Humboldt products are Big Up Powder, White Widow powder, and their ProZyme. The ProZyme used to be a heavy use product (sometimes 20mL/gallon in week 6!) but they just redesigned their feeding and nutrients so its using on average 5mL/gallon and the white widow/big up are only either veg or three times during flowering.

I'd like to add up how much $ I spend in nutrients per harvest, I think its probably around $300-$400. When you get 32oz a light, woopiedoodoo at the cost of nutrients! BUY THE BEST!

I have zero experience with soil, so I cant offer any valid opinion.....

i was reading on humble nutr. and they look great i might try them next grow but going to stink with g.h. dont want to stress the plants. do you use the three part or the two part?

Check out the NPK ratios of the Humboldt 3 part. It's a copy of the GH 3 part. Use whatever you can get your hands on as it's obviously a formula that works considering AN and Cutting edge copied it too.

@homebrewer: gotta say i love ur pic...makes me laugh every fucking time...tiny seahorses blowing bubbles...i make that same face when i'm about to climax

on a serious note, i was talking to some ppl and they said the same thing about GH's 3part formula....comparing prices i would save a shitload of money sticking w GH. I was also told to use the Floraliscious & silica blast & sweet as additives instead of Liquid Karma CalMag. I am still trying to wrap my head around additives, anyone got any advice? I want to get a better but healthier yield out of my plants.

Uncle Rico is the man :)

Floralicious plus is a sub for liquid karma. These types of products have multiple functions (resin production, root stimulation, possible increase in aromas, and increase nute uptake). I use both products (one in dirt and one in hydro) because they work for me in my environment.

Instead of silica blast, look into ProTekt from DynaGro. You'll get 4 times the amount of silica for the same price.

Sweet adds magnesium and sulfur, I like this product. Given the amount of calcium in the GH 3 part, calmag isn't necessary, IMO.

I use floralicious plus in hydro. I've also used both koolbloom products and while they work, they just complicate the GH feeding schedule. They don't add any other micros to the equation and excellent results can be had by not even using them. But I use them.

is kool bloom like hydroplex? if so which one might be best to include in my feeding schedle.

@homebrewer: why did u choose to use 17ml of the bloom for ur feeding schedule vs. the recommended 15ml/gal?

@Everyone: after much research and thought I have revised my feeding schedule and changed it to the following...pls lemme know ur opinions (pros, cons...etc.):

Micro 7.5 ml/gal
Bloom 15/gal
Liquid Karma 5ml/gal
Sweet 10ml/gal
Silica 5ml/gal
thinking of adding Koolbloom or Hydroplex 5ml/gal
