Need Moving and MMJ info

So we are moving to Colorado this summer and I am interested in getting my MMJ card. I am wondering if I can have more than 6 plants in the same room if I am a MMJ patient and I'm my gf's caregiver. I know the law says I can grow 6 plants for myself and 6 for her but can I grow it all in the same spot? How does this work? Also, are there any MMJ friendly landlords in the denver or the subs?

Certain cities (ie denver, fort collins) limit the number of plants in a household to 12. Other than that, no restrictions as far as room placement etc. In fact you wouldn't actually have to be your girlfriends caregiver, as long as she lives with you (in theory you could have you and her and then one of you as a caregiver for 5 people kind of pushing the lines, but not crossing). You can only have up to 3 flowering each. AS far as mmj friendly landlords, if there is any they have probably already found someone to rent their place.

Thats what im here for, any other concerns this is a great place to post, have some very knowledgeable people on here. When you start looking into areas certainly check into that cities ordinances, also counties are putting out their own rules too. So it is kind of hit and miss at this point and nothing will make up for researching all the laws in your area.

I hadn't heard of the individual city and county ordinances before. Im glad you pointed that out and Ill definitely research that a bit. Can I sell part of my harvest to dispensaries up there.

No you can not, you can only sell to your patients. You can only posses 2 oz's of "usable" product per patient (well combined the caregiver and patient can only have 2 oz's for that card). Our state is the most regulated, every city and county has power to do whatever they want. This is the law, up to you how you use it, but as you can tell, flowering out all 3 plants at once will (or better) yield more than 2 oz's. Just trying to help with the legalities details are up to you. Good luck

Thats a bummer. I was checking out craigslist and there are people on there selling pounds. So i figured i could grow for a dispensary or something. Legally speaking, do I need to remain non-profit up there or can I make money off it.

It is written that as a caregiver you have to be non-profit. IMO this is a grey area, how many non profits have ceo's making in excess of $100,000 a year? I do believe we are not too far from seeing police over step their power and start knocking on caregiver doors to do plant counts. So make sure you watch your ps and qs keep all paperwork handy. About the lbs on craigslist, those are illegal again and the cops are starting to bust them. It is def done everyday, but how long before this whole mmj could you find herb?
