I know that when any market is flooded with a product it is hard to sell, but what sets a product apart is quality and if you truly do have a top quality product then it should not be hard to sell maybe it might not sell for what it sold in the past, but it will sell.I am not in California and have never been there, but I believe when the boom was going on many people set out to grow cannabis and profit from it because it was somewhat easy to sell, and then when the market was flooded and dispensaries started shutting down the people who were fairly new at growing or grew wack weed found it real hard to get rid of it alongside the great California weed.i don't have a problem growing it indoors or outdoors, what I am trying to find out is the process of being legal with state law and how to go about doing business with dispensaries. If anyone who knows the process well can give me advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Poke around in this section and you will see a wealth of info. You missed the boat on it though. 2 years ago would have been the last chance you had to be ride that last wave. Cali is not the place.

Like the dude said, find the most top shelf strains and grow them with mad skill and love...dont be a push over and you will get your ticket..

Most important, dont forget to "give back" with some of your profits. :)

Happy growing!

Stay home. Most of the clubs already have their preferred vendors. Then you actually need to find a club that will not rip you off. If you have to sell on the street I've heard prices are at 2k a lb for some fire.

This is already a problem.. The feds dont want you making a profit from it, that is why they are closing everyone down, cause of Glorified Drug Dealers.. Its supposed to be NON Profit. Patients Helping Patients, Caregivers Helping Patients.. Instead everyone opens up a Dispensary and Grabs as much Cash as Possible, running them like they are 7-11's,, So of course the Feds are now asking how that's "Compassionate Care", and making the necessary case to close down the industry.

Not arguing with you, but im a farmer...i dont just grow mj. Im a botanist, we all are. Ppl who Harvest at 6-7 weeks on a 9-10 wk strain. Cash croppers, which the feds dont like.

This job aint easy as it seems...if u have the skill then all u need is the money start up and space. Ect.

Its okay to make "a living", thus profits.
We do this to pay bills and help supoort our family as well. Our family needs to eat too. When ur buying dumb shit with ur profits is How i look at that person.

Me, im starting another 3k room strictly for hemp oil. That will be donated too a group of cancer patients for free.

I give two shits what the feds think...or care. I know what i do is not for.money. Cuz i help my family alot and thats whats its all about.

I make profits..but im still driving a 90s car, renting, im not flashin my money on FB, feds want ur hard working compensation Cuz their greedy bastards.

I could careless what happens in LA...cuz.if ur grow dank it will sell period.

Just my rant of the day, pointed to no one. Its just okay to make profits, were the source and Its our fruits and labor. Ya dont see big time veggiefarmers just give away their whole seasons crop. Thats their livly hoood.

Its the clubs that are fucking it up for the "grower" and patients.

Yes, that was basically my point.. I am not saying you cant make a profit, its the guys who yell, I WANNA SELL WEED AND GET RICH,, who are bringing the feds down on us.

I watched a show about the closing of Dispensaries and they cited one in L.A. which apparently was HUGE.. The feds argument is basically this -> How can you operate under the guides of being a Compassionate Caregiver to 10,000 patients, when you only have 8 people employed at your dispensary?

I agree with your statement and OP.should not have put down profits, it just looks bad and i know what you mean. Hopefully the OP isnt just in it for the money, Cuz it aint hard to give back.

LOL good point, Its not really hard for the clubs to give back with some of their profits. Its a descion, like everythjng else. You do what feels right.

Besides the fact that Cali has lots and lots of growers, there is no such thing as legally selling weed under prop 215. Even to dispensaries masquerading as 'collectives'. Period. If you choose to, you are definitely taking a risk. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't get it. Those are state and local risks. Federally, you are in the pickle of either declaring it and paying taxes, or having an undeclared income. Either of those choices carries some risk too. You'd be better off owning a dispensary and taking a salary, which is not technically a profit, but then again, any dispensary owner or past owner can tell you it's not easy, full of risks, especially federal, and operational/legal costs. This is the wild west, don't fool yourself into thinking profiteering off meds can be 100% legal or 100% safe at this point.

Profits or not, doesn't matter to me, but I feel sorry for anyone who's trying to move to Cali to become a vendor at this stage of the game.
