Need help with water run off... Drawing a complete blank plz help

OK so if you look underneath my plants.. you can see the towel i use .. the problem im running into is that im using my closet to grow.. i have no idea in my mind how to efficiantly catch run off ... the towel works for now.. i guess.. but there's the huge issue of mold.. and many other issues that can come from it.. not too mention when the plants are in the 5 gallon smart pots... and are 3 feet tall.. it'll put WAYYY too much stress on them to repeatedly take them out so i can change the towel... does anyone have any good ideas as to how to catch the run off .. in a small area like this? ... any input would be greatly appreciated

Well none of those would work either... Cuz once they go into the smart pots I don't take them out of the room I water them where they sit... So how ...if I use a litter box would I get it out... Blahhh not sure u guys are understanding what I'm getting at here ... Growing in the closet makes it difficult because of space... And to take say 3ft plants in and out of the room whenever I water/feed them will be a complete pain in the ass and it would stress the plants...

I dont see why you need to move them. The whole point in a catch pan is to catch the overflow. There is no need to drain them. The plants will draw up the overflow as they need it. Beside that moving a plant will not stress them at all.

Hell goto the dollar store and grab foil turkey roasting pans and mold them to the size you need them

Totally agree wiv u bigv..an as for movin plants im movin my plants most days..currently been strung up by yoyo's..but im taking em out every otherday to undoin yoyo n turning plants round deffo not stressin em out..well buds n leaves arnt showin stress anyway...

Hey man I use the tops of rubber maid totes. Works perfectly. I'm in closet as well.

i would get some saucers and a turkey baster to keep it simple.

walmart has clear round trays in garden section 50cents a piece or dollar store foil pans... id ditch the towels asap your prolly growing mold on them...

Get the trays like everyone says also try and find cooking racks that fit in the trays and that are strong enough to hold your plants. The racks will lift them up a little 4" off the bottom of the tray if your still worried about standing water...

I found dish washing tubs fit 3 gal pots perfect!

I hope moving carefully doesn't effect them, mine are mover reg. for flushing,trimming, draining run-off etc.
