Need help with venting asap!!!!!

idk about the journa bt i dont have a good camera - so you say the hood isnt the best well what hood do you think IS best for 600w? as far as smell goes do you think itld be better to run the lazer ozone thing in a wooden box to 20 ft of ducting with a fan in the middle of the ducting to outside or just just buy another carbon filter ill have to replace in a yr anyways? The old timer says the ozone is the best thing but ive heard theyre not so great - its $20 cheaper than another filter but im sure id spend those 20 bucks on some plywood anyways so it comes out the same - but not in the long run - If you think I should go with the another filter could I move the filter to the other end of my fan in the attic or are filters only put on the intake side? Thanks for all ur hlp so far guys bongsmilie

i went with a can 33 filter - and got another 6" fan thats rated just under 300 cfm b/c the lady at d shop told me with my 6" fan im waiting on that has over 500 cfm would pull air to quick from the filter not properly filter it. What do you guys think? Also which hood do you recommend for 600w?

You can always add a speed controller (less than $20 from Harbor freight) to the larger fan. Having the ability to move the extra air when things really start warming up is allways a good thing.

Cool tubes are nice, or any of the standard sealed air coolable reflectors would work fine.

:bigjoint:so i just drew up this sketch for u guys - getting ready to drill some 6'' holes in the ceiling and one in the wall - let me know what you guys think - should i cut holes in the bottom of the flower closet doors and put some type of light covering filter or sum over the vent - the fan is almost double cfm my scrubber is rated for - will this be ok thru all the ducting or do i NEED to tone it down with the contol as p mentioned?:wall:

do you guys think it would be better to switch rooms? as in =turn the veg into the flower room and vice versa so i can just exhaust right to the outside minimal ducting instead of shit almost 10 ft of it? also the duct in between the wall connecting both rooms- do i have to put an elbow in there - some straight ducting with some sort of black filter or type of screen to block the light - of flex it thru the outside of the closet doors like bt suggested - but id rather not cuz i want it to look clean as possible just the lil vent/s with the closet doors closed?? Let me know what u guys think :bigjoint:

Hey Johnny, yeah dude I would switch your rooms around so your flowering room is closer the exterior wall.
And when I was talking about installing the duct to conceal the light, I meant to run the duct inside the closet, and put the vent on the outside of the door. I attatched a drawing to show you what I mean.

thanks bt - im very limited on space and dont think i can fit a duct there and properly fit my plants at the same time - i was thinking of cutting a hole in the lower wall that seperates both parallel closets and then putting a 90 degree elbow or sometype of duct with something over one side that would block light but allow air flow (but what tho??????:o) - i would completely seal off the flowering room - and cut an intake hole in the bottom of the left veg door - this way creating a passive intake so fresh air would come thru the veg and into the flower also eliminating any smell problems in veg - what do you think ??
