Alright so after my current grow, im going to cut the size of my room to about 3'½ x 3'½ x 6'. I will also be switching to only hydro. Im going to be running my 600w HPS w/ cooltube connected to a 6" Inline Fan with CanFilter. And If I can Im going to throw my 400w HPS in there to if I can get a cooltube for it.

So my first question is, what type of hydro system should I run in that amount of space to get the most yeild per square meter? I was thinking a Ebb & Flow Table or would a DWC system be more effiecent? Or would a other system better?

Now what type of grow should I do? Ol Natural/SOG/SCROG?
Ive never done a Sea of Green before but have had some expreice with SCROG, but most I just let grow how god made em! And if I were to run a SOG, I would be starting from seed, Im not much of a fan of clones.

Also I am going to be switching to a new brand of Nuterients, Ive always have used Foxfarm and Im sick of it! Im starting to lean towards Canna Nutes, but I want to know what your guys opinion on Canna, or suggest nutes you would reccomend! But not just what brand, but what should I use to make my feed schedule.

And I would rather make a system than go out and buy one!

Thanks for reading! Any help would be appreciated!

well i am running a 4x4 flood table in a 5x4 closet. working out great. heat is a little issue if you have your space enclosed.

With your space, you want to utilize your vertical room. Go with 5 gal. buckets with some basket lids, available at any grow store. Germ your girls or clones in some pre soaked rock wool then transplnt them to the bucket basket and fill in with some hydro lite. :)
-also drill some holes in lid and you can run pump hoses down there with bubblers for aeration. works every time.View attachment 945719

Alright guys thanks for the help! I have had some luck with DWC, but I dont like the Watertemp Issues, and as soon as you get root rot, your plant is done for.

But Ive heard a lot about reliablity of Ebb & Flow!

Next question, should I buy one or build one? I know the store bought would be a lot better quality, but could I do a DIY and get the same results?

BTW +Rep for ya guys thanks!

ebb n fow is pretty easy to build i couldnt see spending a few hundred on a "professional" set up. A trip to a petstore and target should b good for tubs, trays, tubing and pumps

As far as nutes go, I personally use Dutch Master Gold Line as well as Liquid Light and Penetrator. If your thinking SOG or perpetual, you need to clone, well, not need but it is strongly advised. AS far as the results of my feeding schedule (their online interactive calculator) go, check my journal. I have multiple strains going right now, and the nutes/T5 light combo for seedlings and cutting has been awesome! Before you go building or buying you might want to look around in here at some of the info.

PS I have been building set ups for people lately, all custom, all sweet. I recommend the one I showed you because you turn it on and leave it on pretty much. Plug and play for growers.

If your room is 3 1/2 feet square by 6 feet tall, just toss a single 1000w lamp and hand water a few buckets of soil.

I started typing a long post about how Ebb & flow would be cool for you, but your height of the room sucks, and a E&F tray would be too tall with the res under it for any respectable plant. I cant see how the systems cost would be beneficial to your small room. Buckets with a reservoir and a controller and the additional plumbing required would be very annoying on that scale too. No CO2 really in that size room, so just focus on the growing environment being the right temperature and humidity and airflow.

If your room was just a little bigger, or a little taller, I'd recommend E&F bucket system of any type, about 2 or 3 gallons on the buckets are plenty. Bigger buckets are not necessary, you can grow a plant in a 3 gallon bucket to probably 80 inches tall if you want. Mine flowering in 2.5 gallon buckets now are 52" tall and they hold perfectly fine without any sticks or supports.

Hope this helps, or at least gives you a few options.
