depends on the strain and i know nothing about that one..usually plants that are marketed as purple carry the trait regardless but purple does nothing to make the weed better and although it looks nice growing usually looks kind of dirty when its dry and ready

That's a negative on the molasses, I grow hydro so I've never used it.

I'm sure someone will help you out on that one soon

the molasses is used mid-end flower not in veg..also ya you really wont see any purple regardless until your 4-6 weeks into flower about

If you feed your plants right and it is a true purple strain when the fade happens they will show purple. If you're over feeding they will never turn purple. By week three of flower they should have all the nutrients they will absorb so feeding past that is useless. As far as molasses goes it supports the biology of your soil. It gives the microbes in your soil food to reproduce.

"purple" traits in strains are a phenotype of that strain, and even tho your strain may carry these traits unless your actual plant is predominate of this purple phenotype your wont really get any purple at all. Lowering your CONSISTENT temps into the mid to high 60s towards last few weeks of flowering can help these purple traits come out, but its been shown in tests with clones that plants grown at a steady temp of 75 throughout the grow have seemed to produce the highest amounts of THC.
Molasses is one of those things thats debatable when to use and when not to. Many people use it throughout their grows and many use it during the last few weeks of flowering. Personally I use 1tbsp per gal on every cycle that im not watering with nutes and it seems to be working just fine for me. Then the last 14 days before i feel im ready to chop, i hit it with nutes one more time, then between 2-4 molasses waterings before i chop depending on how much the girls are drinking

to say by week three of flowering they will have all the nutes they need is HIGHLY based on personal technique and i dont think you should really tell new growers this..unless your talking supersoil most growers do continue to feed up until the end of flowering..even in supersoils a topdress mid flower is sometimes needed

the molasses will never hurt the plant in veg dont get me wrong..but the reason people add it at all has to do with the sugars in the buds right before harvest and trying to affect taste and smell so i think it doesnt really help all that much until then but i could be wrong i havent tested this yet personally and what does it cost a few bucks?!

Using it to affect taste and smell is speculation and there are many people who will agree that it does add a bit of a light sweetness to the buds, i'd even be geared more towards saying this is true as i've noticed a slight difference in grows i used molasses in. But the real reason that people use molasses in their grows is because it "feeds the soil" the natural sugars in the molasses break down the nutrients in your soil to a level that the microbes and healthy bacteria in the soil can consume which lets your plants uptake these nutrients much easier

Ok so molasses doesnt get buds hard denser or bigger yield? Thats the main reasons why im adding molasses but if it jus for taste n smell then im jus not goin to bother using it then . Im lookin for bigget yield and hard buds but thanks kermit2692

Like i said, its used to feed the soil, which in turn helps your plants feed more efficiently on the nutrients you give it, which in turn helps give you bigger, denser buds
