So I have never seen a peat moss pellet before I was showed one today at my local indoor garden shop. I'm trying to start some seeds with them, so what exactly do I do with them?

Let me clarify, how much water do I add to them? Do I soak them in a full cup of water until they're full sized or do I add like a cup?

well if u got the tray with the pellets then just fill the tray halfway with water with the pellets sittin in there and the water will expand them give them about a good minute maybe two..."if u dont have the tray then ya soakin them in a cup of water till there about an inchandahalf then put the seed in em" then pick the pellets up drain the excess water and put the pellets back in there.. be sure to put the seed in pointy side down phat end up... another lil hint i do is i always put a little bit of water in my tray and when u check on em to give em fresh air you can see if they suck the water up and kinda let u know when there gettin dry... only put the seed a couple centameters deep in the pellet not to deep it will drown but if u dnt get it deep enough it will push itself to surface... i started some in pellets and then to soil and paper towel to soil and if ya check my grow the too smallest plants were started in pellets the 3big ones were paper towel to soil so let me know.. it will take a couple days starting it from seed in the pellets like i didnt see the seed poppin to surface for like 3-5 days so i think its a slower process from my experience but goodluck bro hope i helped.

Be careful to not bury them too deep or keep them too wet, or the seeds will rot. IMO, you'd be much better off germinating with some papertowels and a dinnerplate, then going to soil. :)

Thanks a lot that clears it all up. Also, do seeds go bad? I have five that are pretty old and when in water they float...bad?

Yeah, if they float that usually means they're hollow inside. If they sink, most of them should still germinate if they aren't real old. I've never tried any older than 2 years, but they worked fine.
