Need help with my setup please........

OK so i have a few questions and also looking for some opinions on my setup. I have 2 4x4x80" tents and 2 4x8x8 tents. Im using 2 8" exhaust fans and carbon filters on each of the 4x8 tents with 2 cool air 1000w hps lights cooled and exhausted separately. ( 2kw of light and 2 exhaust fans per 4x8 tent) as for the 4x4 tents I have 1000w hps lights in those as well and running 6" carbon and exhaust fan per tent. I was thinking of using the 4x8 for flowing of coarse and doing 8-10 plants per tent.(total of 16-20 flowering plants) then use one of the 4x4 to hold my mothers and clones and the other 4x4 tent for veg.my object here is to get a system down to were I'm able to harvest 3-5 pounds per month. i will be using fox farm in 1gal for veg 5 gal pots for flower. I plan to veg for about 4 weeks max per cycle. Any advice is greatly appreciated i look forward to peoples opinions and input of what i can expect and how to control the cycles

Sounds like a good plan. The only thing I would say is that putting that 1000 watt hps in a 4 x 4 is overkill. A 600 would be more than enough and would cut your heat and energy overall a good bit when you have two of them running.

I would do simple 18/6 veg cycles and 12/12 flower cycles. It's tried and true and never, ever fails. You'll be knee deep in weed in a few months.

I would start a veg cycle only. Then about 4 weeks into flower, start another. That way, in a few months, you'll be harvesting a full 8 x 8 every single month.

That's going to be a shit ton of weed. You'll need the month to recover from all the trimming for the next go.

The instant you harvest that you'll be starting another. Every single month.

Thanks for the reply. I will have help as far as the trimming and maintaining them through out the time. Im looking to do a monthly cycle or even every 2 months tops. But also looking to maximize yields as well. As for the lights they came with the set up i bought and heard it wouldnt hurt to use the 1000w opposed to the 600 but im open to critique i just want to have the most sence with this system and harvest good yields regularly.

It certainly wont hurt, it's just overkill. Especially when you consider you'll be using the 4 x 4's for your cloning stations.

Your call though.

The way I'm planning it, you'd be doing a harvest every 4 to 6 weeks. I'll try to articulate it better with a little help from Photoshop.

Layout:

Phase 1:

Phase 2

Phase 3

Phase 4


By the time you reach phase 4, you're set. You just harvest one tent, fill it with the clones that have already been vegging for 5 weeks, fill them into the now empty tent while taking clippings to start them all over again, and off you go.

You'll be harvesting a 4 x 8 every 5 weeks until you stop cloning and let it grow out.

Depends on the plants you're growing, really. Some are taller and bigger than others. I grow White Widow exclusively. Each plant of mine gets about 3 to 3.5 feet tall and nets between 4 and 6 ounces. If it's me, I've got 8 plants in a 4 x 8 tent, so I'm netting between 2 and 3 pounds every 5 weeks.

That's just typical soil growing with two tops. No scrog or anything like that. You scrog it, you get about 40 to 50% more.
