need help with lighting

hey guys...
well my friend and I stole a bulb from the lights at our football lighting after a game and realized this 400watt MH bulb is fucking huge. well we stole it got home and realized wtf can we do with this bulb. idk anything about lighting, this is my first grow I got seeds germinating now. i have this giant bulb is their anyway i can use it without spending $100 on a ballast for it?

stick it sideways in your ass, then let your friend kick it. Thiefs Suck, and ruins the rep for all of us here. my 2 cents

ill just give the bulb to my friend that took it, i never realized how shitty stealing is until now, seriously i didnt realize how much of a shitty thing it is to happen to me when it does. sorry for letting you guys down like that, its not who i am.

but hey another quick question if i bought a HPS light, this one ---> http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=11620-3-67449 would i need a ballast for this too or could i plug it into a reg. light? im pretty short on cash so i need to grow under a low budget

ya bud... seriously stealing is bad and one of the things that gives us a bad name... see you've gotta have love and passion for your grow and mj... first of all it appears your still living at home... get all the knowledge you can here from us and wait till your out on your own.. now you probably wont take my advice but you have the rest of your life son... gain the knowledge here from us now, make a notebook and print and read read read get all your supplies and a plan and when your ready and able do your grow... and one more thing... do not tell anyone personally that you grow... here is ok ... you'll learn the hard way... your already on strike 2 lol...
