You could do it if you already own a bunch of them
But it is an inefficient way to grow
Why handicap yourself?

The ufo lights are in most cases very old technology, and for the prices some are still sold vs the results and light they produce are definitely not worth it. Iv seen people do much better with multiple screw in led light bulbs. Nowadays the pricing on some of the newer technology leds is quite competitive and a decent product can be brought at reasonable price that will do a good job. Plenty of good information and documentation on the site you can check out to help you.

Im struggling to find lights I can afford ... I have 2 spider Farmer sf at the moment but I’m hesitant to buy more since I keep hearing bad things about their lights and the company as a whole

Idk, I bought, use and like spider farmer, but I would look into building my own light now that I know it's a thing.

There's nothing wrong with their lights. I dislike the company but also own one of their lights. You can get an equally good light for cheaper through somewhere like Alibaba.

What size area are you trying to light? Perhaps hitting up the lighting section might help you out more.

What's your budget and are your current SF lights not working properly or something?

I use an sf1000 for veg, about to try it in flower with a ts1000 when flower tent is available.

Are your lights the new quantum board type. If so there really good and do work well. Like some of the guys say..if you could tell us what size area you have to work with, the exact type of lights you have already and if necessary what sort of budget you have to work with. The budget led market nowdays is very competitive and with some being sponsors and advertisers here I think there are futher discounts you can atain being a member here. But its worth taking a better look at what you already have as you may have just what you need for your grow area already. The sf series boards are quite good and give very good results if used correctly.

People complain about everything

Those lights are fine unless you are growing commercially
A tent grow you should be fine
Far better than UFO's for sure

Thats quite a large area and you could really do with more light. How many plants do you have usually in the space and do you normally use it wall to wall. You current lights could certainly work although wouldn't be perfect for the area. But you should have enough light there to get a good 4x4 square sufficiently lighted to get decet results. I would work with what you have for now and leave the buying of any more lighting till you feel more comfortable .

Plenty of the guys use those exact lights on this site, so if you run in to any issues you have the advantage of other peoples experience and help here who are actually using those exact lights. So I wouldn't wory. Also im sure there is a spider farmer rep who floats about on the site if you have any questions or issues.

I want to be able to fill my tent up as much as possible ...I only have 4 plants under them atm ..I’m not going to start anymore until I have my lighting sorted .. would someone be able to have a read of these lights ..I know UFO may be shit but do these look like they will be better than spider farmer ?

I was thinking about getting a couple of the 200 or 300w ones
What price do they come in. Your main issue with those is..due to your area being so large and the form factor of the ufo's being so small you would need alot of those. If you have the spider farmer lights already and you want to add additional lighting into the area I would look at prices and maybe see if we can find something with a bigger size so you get more light spread within the same price. But if these ufo lights are very cheep the extra light in your area with the spider farmers wont hurt, but the ufos alone in the area will leave you disappointed. Have you looked at the bargins thread on here. Some of the guys find some unbelievably good offers.
