Need help with 2 things (sex of plant + lighting)

Hey so those of you that were helping me before in my old thread ("need help growing (vegetative state)"), please continue helping.

My plants are now starting to bud/flower...However I am having toruble distinguihing which ones are male and which ones are female (of the oens that arent obvious of course...I know the ones wiht the white hairs are females). (I added a photo, maybe you cn tell me if i should keep the plant or not) THe ones that I am not sure of are ones wiht these little buds/pods near the stem, the ones under the leaves hang down like bells...I assumed these males and should be disposed of?

My other question, is when should i switch over from 18/6 lighting to 12/12?? At like what point...when all the females have started buddign? The plants are white dwarves and should attain a height of 30 cm..right now theyre at about 10 cm.

Also I have 2 skunks...but not sure about gender cuz they have neither buds nor hairs.....How long until skunks flower??

how old is that plant? looks pretty young. i don't think that plant will show its sex right now. i'm not an expert or anything but why not veg for longer?

oh yea, balls = males, unless you have both in which case it's prob a hermie. take close up pics, hard to tell w/ the pic you took.

If its auto flower i guess it could show now but i cant see any details in the picture

a plant can show its sex in veg. this doesn't mean its an auto flower plant...females will start to grow hairs "pistols" inbetween nodes and at the top of the plant..males will grow balls "pollen sacks"...u can veg ur plants for ever...as long as its in 18-6 it will not flower "grow buds" bit it will have sexy lil hairs!...i would veg for about 2 months..1 month feeding it just water..the second month with veg. nutes so the plant grows strong and healthy...then u switch ur lights to 12-12 and start usein nutes to flower..and flower 6-10 weeks...all plants r diff..good luck!

It sounds like youve never heard of auto flowering strains. They flower within a very short period of time even in 24 hours of light.

If you say you have white dwarf then Gnome Growns advice, although generally correct, doesnt quite apply to your situation. Your strain will soon or already has started flowering even without 12/12 lighting.
You can keep your light at 18 hours a day during the whole flowering and itll still bloom.

BUT since you have 2 strains and skunk shouldnt be an auto flowering strain, you will need to switch too 12/12 when you want them to flower.
Now its up to you to decide how tal you want them to get, your dwarfs will stay small no matter what you do, but if you want the skunk to stay the same hight as them youll need to switch to 12/12 now. Otherwise leave the light at 18 hours, your dwarfs will flower happily while the skunk continues to veg.

ive heard of auto flowering plants...and how they can bud in 18 or 24 hours of light..
im still a newb at this shit but ive done a lot of research..if i gave any false statements then im sorry!...but i have 6 plants growing rite now and 3 of them r showing there sex..i have my lights on 18-6...the pistols grew about 2 weeks ago...still no buds...so those 3 plants r auto flowering plants?..ehh i dont think so..cause all there is,is some pistols..no form of buds at all...check out my grow journal!

when i can get some better pics taken of my plants, I will post them up and together we'll decide which ones are which...But thx for all the advice so far...

In your case it seems that the plants are showing pre-flowers. You can tell their sex but they are still in veg, your doing great.
