Need help! What's going on with this girl??

Hey guys, so right now I have a few in veg, few in flower, but this one plant, since she popped the soil line, her oldest, largest leaves have yellowed, then died. Once I either remove the dead growth, or they die naturally, the next set starts. I've already chopped 3 sets from the bottom up, and I'm ready for a 4th. Even the tiny leaves lower on the plant are starting.
Now I've read nitrogen, however even after a feeding, using gh trio, it isn't clearing up. The plant is about 5 weeks in veg and very small compared to my Russians. The ph is normally right around 7, bit lower, bit higher sometimes. I'm using digital equipment. I'll post some pics, but any help would be much appreciated. Should I toss it or can she be saved? tmp_31763-20161119_093204-370153739.jpg tmp_31763-20161119_093218-1133134196.jpg tmp_31763-20161119_093229351046473.jpg

Yeah I wondered about that, but they're not being fed that heavy. 7ml micro /grow, plus some root excel, all gh. Half the rec dose. I'm really confused, cause my Russians get the same drink and their just exploding

Could also be that your Russians are more hardy. Not all cannabis like the exact same conditions.

What's the soil and feeding/watering regime?

I'm using pro mix bx with maybe 25 percent perlite. I'm not an over water kinda guy, watering when the pot's are light, sometimes as many as 4-5 days between feeding. All are in 2g smart pots. The average though is 3-4 days.

Oh and the Russians are very dirty girls haha. Heavy smell from 1 footers, while my 4 in flower standing almost 3 feet tall, smell neutral. And the growth is just beautiful compared to the first 4 as well

Definitely nute burn Tyler. Some plants are more sensitive to nutes and that's what I think you got there.

I'd flush it a bit. At least the same volume of water as the pot in runoff. That will reduce the nutes about half compared to 3 volumes which will strip out everything in a soilless mix like yours.

Soak it good to the point of runoff then let sit for an hour so the nutes are well dissolved then our through the same volume of water as what the pot holds to wash them out.

Then just use water for a couple times to see how she goes before feeding again.

Nugachino is right in that your pH should be lower when using soilless rather than real dirt. 6 - 6.5 max. Kind of between hydro and dirt for best growing.

:peace:

But I'm using pro mix bx. Soil. But I will try the flush and see how it goes. It's just strange cause even in the first 2 weeks, it only got some root excel, in Ph 7 water. Tds always are round 350. The tap starts around 300 where I am

Time to switch to RO water. You'll be getting crispy leaves from toxic salts buildup later in flowering with hard water like that. The pH in the root ball will keep going up over 7 and you won't be able to bring it down without regular flushing. What's the pH of your tap water?

:peace:

Yeah OK I'm going to try the flush tomorrow morning then. I need to rearrange my flower room and I'm kinda scared. I have 4 5 gallon 3 footers in their second week of 12/12. Vegged a lil bit too long.
Right now they're under a 600w mh, switching to hps on day 15, and are all tucked under the shape of my cooled hood.
My question, is can I spread them out, making room for more plants? I'm thinking about throwing a Russian and a few clones in with them, just to learn.
It's funny how fast these plants start piling up lol. I need to keep em moving..

I do believe that light would have an 4'x4' footprint. At about 3ft' of decent light penetration. Meaning around 2fT" from the top of your plant down is getting light. Anything else you should lollipop imo. Just figured I'd throw that out there.

Also, A quick add. A crowded room is never a good thing. You could bite yourself in the arse by limiting the light others get.

Could I trim them down?the leaves I mean? I want to so bad but I'm afraid of ruining them.
Yeah I have maybe a half foot left, maybe a bit more.
No light burning at all and they can touch for hours lol. Might be different with the hps though. It seemed to burn hotter when I first tested them out

You want to keep them about 10" from the HPS. I would take a tape, and measure 24" from the top of the plants, and chop everything off below that doesn't reach the top. Leave the main branches that start at the bottom, and reach within that 24" mark. Look up "loli-popping." It works.

6" is not going to be enough. They are going to stretch almost half their size during flower. If need be, top the plant during flower. The most important thing that people forget during flower is an EVEN CANOPY. This is crucial. A lot of people have the misconception that you need to be gentle with these things, they are a weed. Beat them up, they love it.

Really 10 inches yeah? Cause right now, with the 600w mh I have tops resting on the glass for whole 12 hour cycles with no issue at all. If anything they're doing great lol. But I did feel a difference when I tested the two bulbs too.
So I can top of it comes to it yeah? I'm really hoping the space I have left works but I don't think it will. I've been told my node spacing is really tight, and I've kept the mh within an inch of my canopy the whole grow.
And I can trim yeah? As soon as my lights come on tonight they're getting watered and moved around so tonight might be the night..
