Need help w/ tent setup

I recently bought a 2x2x5 ft. growlab tent. I also purchased a 400w iPower mh & hps light. I thought i checked the measurements of the air cooled tube, but apparently not. My problem is, is that the light can only fit in the tent diagonally and i am unable to attach the 6" to 4" reducer needed to run my ducting out of my tent through my carbon filter. I have a 4" inline fan and a phresh carbon filter. I would rather not hang the fan and filter, as i'm worried it will put too much strain on the weak beams suspended in the tent. Is there a good way to go about setting this up, despite my little problem?

Also, is it okay to just run the fan, filter and ducting from the outside and just disregard hooking it up to the air cooled tube?

I'm sorry i'm just lost and beyond frustrated with this whole situation lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated

a 400W in a 2x2 space ? thanks God you have a cool tube, place the filter inside the tent and connect it to the ventilation outside with a pice of ducting, if your worried about your light falling down if the suspension breaks, try to in force it, a few bamboo sticks and some dutch tape can make wonders

I'm still a bit confused by what you're saying. The light fits, but is place diagonally in the tent. Since that's the only way it can fit in there, there's no way to attach the reducer to fit the ducting. So you think i should keep the filter in the tent? On the ground or suspended? And run the ducting from the filter outside one of the duct vent holes to my inline fan outside of the tent? I'm working on getting pictures up to give you a better idea what i'm working with. So you're saying i don't actually have to hook up my venting to my cool tube at all? I'm sorry, i know a good bit about growing, it's just the setup i'm confused with lol.

You might just want to run a 6" ducting from the hood, then place the 6" to 4" adapter elsewhere

hmmm, maybe consider vertical then ?

connect the filter directly to the cool tube and hang it in the corner, filter at the top, and run a pice of ducting out the bottom to a vent. hole to the ventilation out side pulling the air out, grow one big plant or 3 small once, just a idea, try to take a look at the vertical growing thread ..
