I use the same type of setup but for other plants. Basically once you start to see some of them pop....leave up atleast one corner of the dome untill the rest pop. And of course once they all pop remove the top completely.

Ive used the rapid rooters and dome now for 2 grows and have had great results...3-5 days have roots and ready for planting..I just open the top holes to let in air and they should pop quick if not prolly bad seeds..JMO.... GL

A humidity dome is used for cloning only. Being part of the cloning dome, this is to keep the new clones at a relative humidity level of 90%! And an ambient air temperature of 30° Celsius ;)

you dont need a dome for seedlings....the only time you use a dome is when ur rooting cuts and even then, some people dont use one

This is why as soon as you start seeing seeds pop....you prop the corner of the dome open as per the instructions...and once they all pop you pull the top completely off untill you are ready to transplant.

Are any of the people talking poorly about the dome experienced with using them? I'm pretty sure that after 4 years of horticulture classes and ALWAYS using a top on every container we've ever planted seeds on...ive never once ran into an issue with mold. The key is to NOT over water them....and once you start seeing seeds start germing...to pop the corner up a bit and let some of the humidity out but not all of it..and once they have all germed your completely remove the top.

I'm not a cocky person at all but to all of those swearing its only for clones is wrong....actually i've NEVER used a dome while cloning the plants....just a little bit of root toner and straight into dirt.

i can only speak for myself...but yes i have used a dome for seeds and cloning both....i not saying your absolutely positively gonna get mold if u use a dome...i should have clarified and said that it increases the chances...and im not saying that you cant use it for popping seeds and with seedlings...im just saying that it isnt neccessary?...i personally always use a dome if im cloning in rockwool...if im cloning in my bubblecloner i dont use a dome...and with seeds and seedlings, i never use a dome...i have in the past, but for MY situation, i feel they are unnessary.....and if i came off as cocky earlier, i apologize...im not that type of dude at all...i come on here hoping to learn something everyday...ganja

I use a dome but i make sure to open it 3 or 4 times and mist them. No mold issues, no rot issues, just healthy beginnings!

lol...everyone is a horticulture expert when they try and prove a point...paper towel method in a mason jar, see taproot put in dirt. no humidity dme...and 100% germ success rate. to each his own though. if it works...keep on doin it!
