For the same price, you could get real COBs from vendors here. Ones that are more effective.
Who has that cheap of setups? I'll try looking at the cob kits place you posted because I might not have been to that one but I've pretty much searched every place I could find for countless hours. Lol

Really? 350 dollars for a full 360w cree setup? I haven't seen that....and if this is true I'd have 54 cxbs...that alone would cost more wouldn't it? It's probably not legit. But I don't do anything on assumptions .
They aren’t real CXB3590s. 54 CXB3590s would cost more than $350.

Yes your most likely right. I've been emailing back and forth with the co. and he said he no longer gives out specific part info because of people asking for all the info just to build there own. I replied that I could never afford to buy 54 cxb3590's and am now waiting on a reply. I've decided that if he can even prove that they're actually cxb's then I'll just try it and go from there. Lol.

WOULD STILL LOVE AN EXPLANATION IF ANYONE KNOWS THIS STUFF. THANKS AGAIN.

This dude’s a liar. I guarantee it’s probably a Chinese company with a distributor in the US.

What is it you’d like to know?

if they told you thsoe are 3590s they lie, they dont even look like cree products at all from that close up of the emitter. even if they are they would have 16 emitters per chip as opposed to a cxb3590 or citi 1212 which have 144 (or other cobs that have 200-700). cobs like the one you pictured are in the realm of the ones they sell on ebay for less than a buck each, which arent all that efficient and with no trackrecord of durability

that alone tells you all you need to know about their company

blurple manufacturers figured out a long time ago that using the word "COB" or "CREE" sells lights. if you want to give them your money go for it. dont complain in a year when half your cobs dont light and they are no longer in business

:spew:

yeah im sure its because people are clamoring to build the next underspec'd light to put him out of business, as opposed to him being straight embarrassed/deceptive about the components he uses
