Need Help So GetInHere

Hey guys I would like to know what I would need to put in my closet to make it good for growing about 2 maybe 3 plants....

*What lights?{$55 limit}
*What to put around the closet?

Height-about 8ft.
Width-about 3 1/2 ft.
Length-about 1 2/5 ft.



I put the pot there as an example





Im a noob

i would say get about 8 26 watt daylight cfls for vegetation ..that should get you started..they're only like $8 bucks at wal mart for a twin pack

are they plug in?

they screw in a normal light socket...you can get adapters so you can put 2 in one socket

but i need plug-ins

my closet doenst have any light sockets

you can get light sockets that are wired to plug into a wall socket..i'll see if i can find a link and show you

you can get them for like $6 or $7 a piece

So about how many bulbs and adapters would i need for 2 plants

8 bulbs, 4 clamp lights and 4 adapters...if you don't have much cash you don't have to get all at once...2 clamp lights, 2 adapters and 4 bulbs would be good for a couple weeks to start

oh for two?..yeah the same...the more light the better

even better...but you need a ballast and all that good stuff...it's a few bucks for everything...

is it bad for my electric bill?

and does it give off heat? [dont want any fires]

yeah..thats the only bummer with hps....they work awesome though...

I have a 500 w. lamp like this one...

i think that is a halogen lamp...which from what i've heard, they're not good to grow with

once again..that would work awesome...but that is only the bulb and housing...you still need to buy a ballast to power it
