I have had this problem for sometime and can not figure out what's going on. The lower fan leaves start losing there color and they are developing brown spots as well. The strain is blue dream I grow in dirt the brand is pro mix hp, I use ro water now with a little tap water and I keep the pH at 6.3 . I clone with rock wool cubes in a humidity dome with clone x and heating pad. Then they go into 1/2 gallon plastic containers then finally to 10 gallon smart pots. For the the 1st few weeks the go under 8 bulb t5 then to 400w MH until ready to go in to bloom. I use canna nutes there Terra line for dirt. Room temp is between 74-78 degrees .this starts happening early in veg . I had a spider mite and thrip issue but believe the spider mites are gone and the thrips for the most part. The thrips do seem to keep coming back tho. Any help would be appreciated thank you.20160125_152102.jpg20160125_152116.jpg20160125_152102.jpg

Yea that is a possibility because I believe canna has no phosphorus in there nuts exept in the pk 13/14 and the feed chart says only to use the 4th week in to bloom

I have a few questions before we get into diagnosis

-What type of water do you use

-What is the PH of that water

-What additives do you use if any

-What light source are you using

because its possible the PH is off and that's the easiest to fix if not Cal Mag isn't a bad way to go

-I was using the water from my ac/dehumidifier but switched to ro mixed with tap water
-No additives I have cal mag but haven't been using because I thought the tap water would make up for it
-t5 and MH in veg and hps for bloom

then adding CALMAG to RO water would be my recommendation but depending on ppms of the tap water mix i would say adding it to the mix wouldn't be bad either

Epsom salts provide both magnesium (Mg) and sulfate (SO4, an ester or salt of sulfuric acid) in a gentle form that is easy for Cannabis plants to process - one that does not build up in soil over time. This home remedy is also simple to use, inexpensive and a highly-soluble supplement for organic Cannabis growers. However, Epsom salts are usually only applied to plants that are visibly lacking in magnesium, or strains that are typically magnesium-deficient. - See more at: http://www.cannabis.info/us/abc/30005976-using-epsom-salts-in-your-organic-cannabis-garden#sthash.HP0fPDDz.dpuf
