Need Help Please newbie to hydro

hello i just recieved my emilys garden by hydrofarm. its is a 6 squar pot sit in resovoir typ kit. with an airston pump airaiting the water and nuts. the pot basically sit in the res. it came with these lay pellets that iam now using. it allso came with wicks that you put in each pot. that i dont know how to use. so if anyone can help me/. please do. also im wondering how to start seeds in my new hydro system. thatnx

nobody wants to help me out. look at my profile and my setup pics. tell me what u think and give me your two cents please. i could use it. im new to hydro and growing period. Also if anyone knows if you can start seeds in rockwell and when they sprout and the roots grow out of the bottom if that i could transplant the whole rockwell cube and seedling into a pot of soil. Transplant the whole thing. Can i?

u should post pics in your thread ...people wont bother opening your profile to chec them..u wud be lucky if anyone does..anyway
tho im not into hydro...i have worked with wicks before...i can give u a basic idea..the wicks have to be well spread amongst the medium..which in ur case should be the clay pellets ..try covering more part of your medium ..and then they come out towards the main reservoir or watever...its dat simple.....by the way if u purchased it dont u have a manual of some sort...

regarding the rockwool thing.. YES u can plant them directly....

yeah it came with a manual and it just says to hold it straight up as you fill your pot with the clay pellets. thats why mine is going verticly up and down in my pot and is showing about an inch out of the medium in the middle of the pot. straight up. it just doesnt seem right. i feel like it should be soaking in the res and comin into the pot.

this is what i mean about the wick thing. i have it going straight up and down in the pot. about an inch out of the clay pellets in the center of the pot.

if that white thing is the wick ..then you should have not put it straight from top to bottom...u could have layered it around trying to cober more area in the container ,...got it???anything but in a straight way...say in a zig-zag manner ..use your head..u dnt need a manual..that wick has to keep your medium or pellets wet or moist..so it has to cover more area to make that possible...just fill it randomly...but not straight
