He's the rundown, just reported two big girls from 5 gallon ocean forest into 20 gal promix 5 days ago. Watered in at, 1200 ppm, my pH is 6.5. Using maxi, calmag and recharge. now top leaves, all are boating, bending and curling, some are also turning very light near the "veins" of the leaves...

Here's some pics.

Is my substrate underfed or too plain? Or am I deficient???

Please guys, I don't need problems when I'm practically ready to start flower...

Two different plant pic attached

I need to nip this in the butt asap!

Which type of ProMix did you use? A little unusual to feed 1200 ppm at time of transplant to fresh soil unless it is a low nute mix.

Its a pro mix, peat based, guy at home depot said it was pH balanced and best he had... I couldnt afford 100+ gallons of fox farm and miracle grows not good choice, I'll go buy a skid of ocean forest if you tell me too! I don't get it, they were 110% on Saturday... I reported with promix, recharge mix, added calmag and maxi. Didn't over water, pH is good... Then again a friend said pH will take two weeks to adjust??? But I was told this stuffs balanced?, I've always heard good things about pro mix...? Here's a pic of bag.

O yeah, lights caused some of that curl/heat stress I think, there now raised, rooms ac, constant 69-76. Co2 at 1000.

I think I'm underfed, maybe pH needs time to balance? Or am I deficient in something?

Again, only on top, 25% of tops, curling and clawing, most important turning light green in between "veins"...

Really dunno, I'm educated on growing but this is my first grow.

Hope its an easy fix.

What is in your recharge mix? Why would fresh soil need 1200 ppm of anything added to it? No signs of heat stress that I can see. Looks overwatered and overfed. What appear to be deficiencies are lockouts from too much of something.

Can I change my answer? Just saw your mix and it is heavy on peat so good chance your ph could be low on your medium, locking out. Funny that the HD guy thinks this is the best they have. I was guessing it would be something with soil and more nutes.

Its not over watered in my opinion, I try to water very lightly. However, now its mostly peat based which I'm aware holds a lot of moisture. I water Once with water, calmag and recharge, then again with maxi. recharge is a mychorreza innoculant with molasses, ect...

Now, Should I drop the calmag all together? Not feed for few weeks?

I hate peat based mix, the pH is balanced with lime tho. So ph shouldnt be an issue, unless it takes time to balance???

Remember, root mass/ball mostly consists of ocean forest, 5 gallon in center, now that's surrounded by a good 10 gallons or more of this mix.

Lime does take a few weeks to really get working. At least measure the ph of some of the outer soil in your pot so you can start narrowing down the issue.

I had retarded runoff issues when i do not mix oxean forest good with other soils. Sometimes high sometimes low ph depends on how much water my pots get. Hard to mix with a big fucking ocean forest root ball!

Im thinking a few things. 1 if your ocean forest is still fresh it will most likely have a different PH at the root zone vs the run-off. 2 too much heat up top. 3 overfed and locked out as bugeye said could be looked into, how long does that mix retain water? Last i heard, premier promix growing mix had time released ferts and some root hormone additive. Dont think its as organic as ocean forest is. Just some idea's. Like i said before though i had horrible runoff test when dropping the complete ocean forest soil into other soils without mixing, i actually remember flowering that whole grow with a ph runoff of 5.5/6 anything higher gave me crazy lockouts, i never really figured it out but since mixing i have never had that problem.

The promix is plain, its got vermiculite and perlite, but no nutes in it... The ocean forest in 5 gallon needed watered twice week minimum at the end, the new pro mix container seems to be much longer, for now at least, not sure how long yet tho...

Should I only water pH water for now? (See if pH adjusts and things clear?)

Growth has continued, just some tops look shitty, not happy, here's a pic,

I have a bag of fox farm left, i kinda wanna repot them again, remove as much promix as possible. Whats the best thing to do here?

Also, can anybody tell me if the main issue here is pH related or an npk issue?

I tested ph runoff again, its 6.3 from 6.5 plain watering, I had to add 6 gallons before I got just enough runoff to test!

In my opinion, that eliminates pH and overwatering...

Now the leaves have stripes, it looks like a zinc deficiency, so I checked my nutes, its the last ingredient. Less than .1%.

Does this sound off the wall?
