Need Help Finishing BHO Extractor Tube Help Please

okay so i've heard about the turkey baster but i couldn't find it at any store near me so i decided to go with a different approach, i bought a stainless steel shower curtain holder for 5 dollars, cut it in half and used the rubber (wall grabber) as my nozzle hole and got coffee filters and a pipe clamp to hold it on, but i have read countless therads saying that PVC extractors and any type of plastic is dangerous to use, so im skeptical about using this before i find a better part for the nozzle. but if plastic is so bad isint every nozzle of butane plastic? meaning before it hits your glass or metal tube whether purchased online or made at home the butane has to go through plastic before it hits your herb. so should i stop being paranoid and just get to making my oil? or can someone help me find an alternative to my end cap.
(btw only part of rubber hit by gas would be the very inside which is about the size of a quarter, it's not like it's a extractor entirely made of plastic, is this still a bad idea?)

Its easy enought to find meterials at a home depot to make an extractor completely out of metal using no pvc or plastic and idk if there is a bed bath and beyond near you but i hear that they sell the turkey basters. I wouldnt use any type of rubber or pvc just in case oand the plastic end on the butane can could be made out of who knows what type of plastic so you cant say pvc can be used because the butane can is also using a type of plastic untill you find out exactly what they use or what u can use and use that. its to easy to cut that stuff out and not experiment with it.

i dont think theres a bed bath and beyond anywhere around here but i really should have googled it. if i had knownthe baster fit the butane nozzle perfect i would have just gotten one of these, but i'm happy with the size of my tube its about an inch wide and 18 in long. what would be a good alernative to the plastic nozzle thats currently on my set-up, thanks for the reply brah. happy medicating

Not bad, I don't see the reason for more then 2 coffee filters unless you are using something else but it looks like coffee filters. Secondly what does the metal on the inside of this tube look like is it clean and smooth like the outside surface? I've read that polyethylene pipe is good for use with butane. I would go to the local plumbing store by you and see if any polyethylene end caps will fit you might have to get one that fits inside of the tube and or shave a cap down to fit inside of your tube then drill two holes on the side and put some small Stainless Steel screws in to hold the cap then drill a hole in the top to fit the butane nozzle. Any tiny spots that don't quite seal 100% just take some electrical tape and close them off each time.

sounds like a great idea dude i will definately try this. thanks for the help. if this dosn't work i will just take the ride to BBAB and get a baster. i got a good deal on some descent herb, descent as in i'm a snob and i wouldn't smoke it but some people might say it's good. i think it was a bad batch of lemon kush.. have about a half oz and wnated to make some BHO. on the east coast i know it's probably a waste of money to get a dome because we dont have easy access to concentrates but i figured id just do BHO from now on instead of wasting time with edibles or solid hash.

Your on the east coast also? I am over here and ever since i tried BHO ive been perfecting it and smoking it i like it so much better then bud that i dont even like smoking bud no more. I use a glass nail and a dome on my bong.

huh afford what? If you mean a glass nail and dome its only $100 or so for an attachment if you mean smoking BHO i dont get why its not affordable you only spend an extra $5.50 per can of butane to make it BHO and a 1 cent coffee filter. I just get the amount i would normally smoke and extract it and usually it lasts me longer then bud would plus i get 2x higher each time i smoke

yeah bro i'm in new england. i also am going to purchase a dome off of ALT. cant wait to put some bho threw the circ-circ. i dont think i'll stop smoking buds bud i also have never hit BHO before haha

BHO tastes better, isnt as harsh, hits you harder, and lasts longer then bud plus it seems to last longer

first run used vector gas and got about 1.5 of amber glass. but i feel like my ghetto tube wasnt getting the pressure inside as it needed to get all the tricomes off of the buds. i recently picked up the baster and will be posting pics of my next run with premium blue dream buds. also i can get vector from a local headshop but they charge 10 a can wall i recently found a convenience store next to a cigar shop in my town and he carries neon butane. i heard this stuff isint bad but it's only 2 ollars a can. lmk if it's safe so i can rape his inventory and stock up for a while. thanks dude

Honestly i have only used vector and i must be lucky as shit because my headshop sells vector for 5.50 a can and its funny because amazon is more expensive and the other headshop nearby sells it for 10.00 so who knows but 2.00 a can sounds a little cheap check and make sure its filtered at least 4x and if so then you should be good to go

yeah bro i wanna stick with vector it just blows that it's gonna cost an extra 20 bucks everytime i wanna make BHO now,although im sure thats just a headshop bumping their prices cause they know why we use it. the can of neon was so small that the second run didnt yeild anything at all but it did have a metal nozzle which seemed like it would be more pure opposed to vector having a plastic nozzle of some sort. but yeah it was (refined) or whatever the label says. it didnt smell bad or leave much residue. but im gonna check my cigar shop tomorrow and see if they finally got their shipment in. if not it's not a far ride to a different cigar shop in revere. so i should be good. my dome comes in tomorrow and i just got a sweet worked glass dabber from ALT for 15 bucks. should have some video's and stuff to post by the end of the week.

Id go straight to Titanium nail if you plan on smoking BHO alot because ive been through multiple glass nails already and its only been a few months of me smoking oil but that is all i smoke anymore

it's only a matter of ime till i go TI, i just got the dome today and i hope the nails last me a little bit until i master my BHO making skills. i got raped at the cigar shop today and purchased XiKAR butane for 12 dollars a 8oz can. it's stamped zero impurities also on other side of can says (stable non-volitile impurities less than 30 PPM) made some BHO today with some kush i got for a good price. will post ics tomorrow, got two very dfferent consistancies one of them like a honey and the other i froze because it was hard to get off of the pyrex and that stuff is a lot more airey and easier to get on a dabber, completely different color but no difference in purge.

multiple hot water baths until it turns into honey. pop all bubbles then scrape. i didnt refine it to shatter this time because i thought it was pointless.

heres some flower pics i got last night

looks really good but it looks like there are bubbles in the pic which to me is butane. Maybe its the pic or from u putting it on the parchment paper but i cant tell. what kinda bud is that it looks pretty good ?
