Get on ebay and shop for Reverse Osmosis

Many adds have good information
and there is a wide selection of prices.

If you can afford it, get a good one.

I got mine from a Hong Kong dealer,
quite cheap, it works.

Shipping took a while,
but it made it.

Earl,

How much waste water do you get with that unit? I'm on a well and don't want to dump 4 gallons to get 1.

The waste is 2:1

You will need as many extra pre-filters
as you can afford,
to get the full life from your machine.

Change your pre-filters reularly.

Good luck with your grow,

I know your plants will like having the RO

.

I just ordered this one: Countertop Portable Reverse Osmosis 100-150 GPD - Great RV's and traveling.

It should be here in a few days. I specifically wanted a portable unit. The one I bought does say it wastes 4 to 5 gallons of water to make one.... which is bad....but I'm only growing a few plants and I'm pretty conservative with my water usage so hopefully it won't be too bad.

I can't wait to see how my plants grow on good water..... my tap water is 500 PPM right out of the faucet

Can some one give me some names of good ones? I wanna get one like the portable one in the link, that i can connect to a garden hose faucet outside... can any one give me any names or a link... id like a 2 to 1 conversion ratio if i could get that... and how many prefilters should i get

and the last question... earl, how often do u replace your filters?
thanks for all the help so far guys 8D

My unit has a back flush feature,
so I can extend the life of my membrane.

I have done 4 grows with this set,
I am going to start with new filters on my next grow,
just because.....

Earl has a good one and the link that FLORIDA GIRL posted is good, and easy as pie to set up-----connects to your sink faucet and drains down the garbage disposal-------easy ----puts out 10,000,00 gallons of clean water before it needs filter replacement.-----it's portable to.

as convenient as these units are, I don't want to waste more water than I use.

I'll continue to buy my RO down the street ($2.99/18L 5G).
